Kelly Osbourne no longer makes fun of other celebrities for a living.
The British star quit E!’s Fashion Police late last month, though she waited until yesterday to address her surprising exit.
“It was the five best working years of my life. I’m so grateful for the experience,” Osbourne said while co-hosting a segment on The Talk alongside her mother, Julie Chen, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood.
The dyed-hair star also paid tribute her late mentor and co-host Joan Rivers, who was replaced by comedian Kathy Griffin, during her stint on the CBS talk show.
"Working with Joan Rivers for five years was incredible. I learned so much," Osbourne said. "I’m excited for my future now. I want to try new things."
E! announced on February 27 that Osbourne would conclude her run after four seasons, saying via statement that Kelly was leaving in order to "pursue other opportunities."
Her departure came in the wake of controversy surrounding co-panelist Giuliana Rancic, who made racially-charged remarks about Zendaya’s dreadlocks on the 2015 Oscars red carpet.
Osbourne came out soon afterward and threatened to resign if Rancic did not apologize.
Rancic did apologize… but Osbourne still resigned.
Fashion Police is scheduled to return on March 30, although no announcement has been made regarding a replacement for Osbourne.
Those in the running include Khloe Kardashian, Naya Rivera and Chrissy Teigen.
