Sorry, Kim Kardashian.
But you can’t hog all your family’s headlines this morning, even if you did just pose butt naked on the cover of Paper Magazine.
Sister Khloe Kardashian is busy making news of the wrong kind herself, after she posted a horribly distasteful photo and joke on Instagram last night.
It featured her, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian along with the caption “True” and a reference to the Ku Klux Klan.
It didn’t take long for critics to respond to the so-called joke on Twitter, with user Derrick Clifton summing up the only appropriate response thusly:
“Do not defend Khloe Kardashian with “But she’s dated black men.” That’s a meaningless detail at this point. Full stop.”
What else needs to be said, really?
Yes, Kim is married to Kanye West and has dated other African-Americans in the past. And everyone is aware that Khloe’s ex-husband, Lamar Odom, is also African-American.
But it’s one thing to poke a little bit of fun at yourself.
It’s another a whole other thing to quip about a hate-filled, violent, bigoted group of people who didn’t just lynch African-Americans way back in the way… but who still exist in parts of the country today.
Khloe eventually deleted the image and posted an uncaptioned picture of a neon sign on a brick wall that reads, “We’re all equally f**ked up, some only hide it better.”
So we guess that’s her form of an apology?
Man. This family sucks.
