As you already know if you’ve been paying attention to the Giudice family’s desperate efforts to avoid prison Joe Giudice has a drinking problem.
In a creative last-minute maneuver, Joe played the alcoholic card to try and convince the judge that he should be sent to rehab instead of being locked up.
Predictably, the judge wasn’t having it and sentenced Giudice to 41 months in prison.
To his credit, Joe apparently wasn’t lying about being a problem drinker, as sources say he’s basically been living in bars ever since his trial concluded.
“Joe is spending as much time as possible out of the house,” says one insider. “There are one or two places in Rockaway he likes because other patrons buy him drinks.”
“Teresa is never with him. He just likes to hang out and watch football games or shoot the shit.”
The fact that they’re spending as little time together as possible with just two months before Teresa begins her sentence serves to verify rumors that the Giudices are headed for divorce.
“Teresa might be putting on a united front with Joe publicly, but it’s all a sham,” says one insider. “Teresa will absolutely file for divorce from Joe once she is finished serving her sentence.”
