Fans and viewers enjoy what they see on Alaskan Bush People, but the more they learn about the Brown family, the more doubts they have.

More and more people have become convinced that the show is a carefully orchestrated fraud designed to entertain.

In a new video, Rain Brown is speaking out, saying that the show isn’t fake … but admitting that it definitely gets edited.

"There’s like a thing I wanted to talk about super quick," Rain says as she addresses her fans and followers.

In the video that we have included, you can tell that she is simply speaking on Instagram as she often does — this was not filmed for the show.

"So, like, I get a lot of things and a lot of comments and messages and things," she notes.

Rain says that these are comments "like saying, ‘I’ve read this; I’ve heard this from this person this must be this.’"

"Odds are," Rain cautions. "It’s probably not true."

Sometimes, there is misinformation out there, especially about famous people.

"People love to impersonate us," Rain warns her followers.

Notably, there was an incident over a year ago of someone catfishing various women on Instagram while pretending to be Gabe Brown.

Even when Rain warned those people, some still refused to believe it, and believed that Gabe had played them for fools.

"And," Rain continues. "People love to say the thing that I’ve worked my tail off for almost eight years for is fake"

"And honestly," she admits. "It’s really annoying."

Rain then goes into exactly why she finds accusations of fakery so frustrating.

"Because when you’re out there and if you’re living that life," she explains. "And you used to live that life."

"And people are like, ‘That was fake, that is fake, you never did that,’" Rain describes. "It’s like, but I did!"

She also promises that if the series were just conjured out of thin air or used fraud to create fake drama, she’d be upfront about it.

"I would tell you," Rain assures her followers. "Because it’s also a TV show."

Rain explains that the Discovery channel is not filming a documentary, but a reality series.

"So it’s not fake," she emphasizes. "It’s just filmed and broadcasted on TV."

"So it can’t be life, you know," she clarifies. "It’s not the news."

Rain again makes it clear: "it’s not a live show. It’s a TV show."

The purpose is to use edits of real, authentic footage and then edit it for entertainment purposes.

"So whatever you think of that," Rain says as her video winds down. "That’s how it is."

Rain confesses that she finds doubts about her family’s honor "really annoying" and considers them to be her "pet peeve."

She then suggests that followers and fans can leave comments with any questions that they have about the show’s production.

"I’ll probably answer them if I see it or it makes sense to answer," Rain said.

And then she snuggles with an adorable puppy.

She is 16 years old, but she’s been her family’s de facto spokesperson for years thanks to her hefty Instagram following.

Is Rain right to be offended?

Probably — we can only imagine the sorts of troll comments and questions she gets.

The reality is that the Brown family haven’t had to rely upon living on the land for years.

These days, they are millionaires with a mansion in Beverly Hills.

But they do also live in rural Washington State.

Alaskan Bush People shows viewers the truth — just not the whole truth.

Can we really expect more than that?
