As previously reported, Miley Cyrus made headlines this week when she walked the red carpet of the AmfAR Inspiration Gala with Tyler Ford, a "queer, biracial, agender person."
But the singer then went on to make even more headlines at the event itself.
First, Miley auctioned off three pieces of Caitlyn Jenner art she had created. They went for $69,000 and all proceeds will benefit amfAR’s mission of supporting AIDS research and HIV education.
Then, Cyrus took the stage to accept the Inspiration Award.
Above, we’ve posted the young star’s emotional speech, which touched on homeless youth, HIV and AIDS, and even amfAR co-founder Elizabeth Taylor.
Miley recently said she feels a need to help others due to the good fortune she has enjoyed in her life – and it’s clear she’s doing far more here than just talk the walk.
You’ve gotta give props to Cyrus for also walking the walk.
