Jimmy Fallon and Dwayne Johnson threw it way back on Thursday’s episode of The Tonight Show.
With high school and college graduations taking place around the country these days, the comedian and the actor took on the roles of Bobby Ristick (Fallon) and Logan Duffy (Johnson), two high school graduates with very low GPAs.
In 1989.
Using the backdrop of that year, they proceeded to give their fellow students some key words of wisdom.
"It’s time to say goodbye. A lot of us will never see each other again," Fallon said. "What, do you think that one day we’re all going to keep in touch using some magical book with a bunch of faces in it? What would you even call that?"
Johnson knew what it would call it: A big sack of never gonna happen.
"Oh, you disagree? That’s too bad. That’s my prerogative,’" he said before singing Bobby Brown’s hit "My Prerogative."
