For the second time in a week, Major League Baseball has reduced us to tears via a special ceremonial first pitch.
First, a cancer-stricken little girl threw out the first pitch (to her father!) prior to an Indians-Yankees game.
Now, it’s time to say hello to Hailey Dawson, a five-year old born with Poland syndrome who had no use of her right hand until very recently.
But then the UNLV engineering department created a custom Baltimore Orioles-inspired prosthetic hand for Hailey and she got to use it prior to an actual Baltimore Orioles baseball game!
This first pitch is nearly enough to help us forget that 50 Cent first pitch fail from last year
Watch it with tears in your eyes now.
