Emotions and drama ran very high on Teen Mom OG this week.
One cast member opened up about her long-time stalker.
Another talked about her miscarriage.
And a prominent player who hasn’t been seen on screen this season checked into rehab.
Indeed, things got as serious as possible on the MTV hit, with a few bits of humor sprinkled in here and there.

Scary Times for Bristol Palin
Bristol moved into her new home this week, following her ugly split from Dakota Meyer. But then the ex-Marine called Palin with some troubling news.
A Break-In
YIKES: someone had broken into Meyer’s home in Kentucky, with everyone assuming the culprit was a stalker who had been targeting Sarah Palin and her loved ones ever since she ran for vice president.
Who is He?
Bristol explained on air that the man, Shawn Christy, had been “in and out of jail,” but was now “on the run from the law.” This concerned Palin, of course, who figured the only reason the man broke into Dakota’s place was due to her.
A Decade-Long Threat
“I’m by myself with the kids in a house in Texas, 4,000 miles away from pretty much everyone I know,” Palin told the camera. “I get maybe 4 hours of sleep as it is, I’ve had this constant threat for 10 years. Super scary.” We can only imagine.
Tension Mounts
Bristol took a few self-defense classes and learned that the the U.S. Marshals, FBI and Secret Service were on the lookout for the stalker. But then the issue turned into another source of contention between the estranged spouses.
Said Meyer:
“How many times did I sit down with you and say we need to talk about scenarios, Bristol? How many times and what do you say, ‘I just don’t want to think about it.’
Dammit, Dakota!
“I don’t want to think about it, I don’t at all,” Bristol shot back. “[But] I refuse to sit here and act like I don’t do anything about it. Do I want to think about the situations, absolutely not. But do I take the precautions? I do.” She later said she was ovdr Meyer “constantly talking s-it.”
Painful Memories…
Let’s shift the conversation toward Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra: they were celebrating the ninth birthday of the daughter they put up for adoption, Carly. The couple said it was always a “hard” day, but tried to mark the occasion in a “positive” way.
Bad News for Catelynn
Sadly, Carly’s parents (Brandon and Theresa) were not keen to Catelynn paying her child a visit. Yes, this had happened in the past, Theresa didn’t think now was the right time. “We’re working through some things with Carly … she needs to mature some,” Theresa told Catelynn.
Huh? What Is It?
What was going on? Catelynn and Tyler couldn’t get an answer. “I love you and I don’t mean to sound mean, but there’s nothing else to tell you,” Theresa texted the former. “We appreciate your concern but there’s nothing for you to be worried about.”
Maybe Someday Their Daughters Could Meet?
Tyler and Catelynn held out hope when they met with their adoption counselor, Dawn, who discussed their frustrations and who gifted Catelynn a birthstone for the child she lost to miscarriage.
More Miscarriage Talk
Amber Portwood went to visit Gary Shirley and his, wife Kristina, who was recovering from an ectopic pregnancy. She had just experienced a miscarriage of her own.
Something in Common
Tragically, Amber and Kristina bonded over losing kids, as the former revealed she had also miscarried a baby when she was with ex Matt Baier. The producers of the program didn’t even know, but she explained it transpired while they were in Las Vegas, in an episode when Baier punched the walls of their hotel room.
Moving on to Maci…
Maci, meanwhile, was taking son Bentley to his first day of fourth grade. She had decided NOT to do private school just yet and was very emotional when Bentley said he did not want his mom walking him into the building.
What About Her Ex?
In related news, her ex, Ryan Edwards, checked into a 90-day rehab facility. As his parents and then-pregnant wife Mackenize Standifer talked about the development, they explained that he would miss the birth of his son with her.

“He said his kids deserve to have the healthiest dad,” Mackenzie explained. “If he’s going to miss him being born but be healthy forever, what more could I ask for.”
Help Us Smile Please, Cheyenne
In far a less serious storyline on this otherwise intense episode, Cheyenne Floyd started to rekindle her romance with Zach, after the pair had split when he went off on her in a drunken rant.
My Bad!
Zach apologized, saying he didn’t mean anything in said and admitted “alcohol played a role.” Floyd was hesitant to take him back, though, and didn’t want him to think that his behavior was in any way acceptable. At all. Ever.
Cory Gets a Word In
Cory Wharton, Cheyenne’s other ex and baby daddy, wasn’t exactly psyched to hear they were speaking again, legitimately retching when she said they were “being positive” and talking. He also made it clear he didn’t want too many people coming in and out of their daughter Ryder’s life.
