This season of Teen Mom OG has finally come to an end.
But not without a few major admissions and one welcome reconciliation.
Following several dramatic episodes and two reunion specials, MTV aired Teen Mom OG: Backstage Pass on Monday, January 7, giving viewers one final chance to catch up with Bristol, Maci, Amber, Cheyenne and Catelynn.
Who wasted no time in going off on producers?
Which estranged couple made nice for a change?
And what surprising pieces of information were dropped to close out an intense and controversial season?
You are moments away from finding out…
What a Season, Huh?
This marked the first time Bristol Palin and Cheyenne Floyd were cast members, along with the first time Farrah Abraham was nowhere to be found on screen.
Things Got Ugly Fast on This Special

For one cast member in particular, as you’re about to see…
Yes, We’re Talking About Amber
Donning a sweatshirt that read, âÂÂSorry IâÂÂm late, I didnâÂÂt want to come,â Portwood began flipping off the cameras as soon as she arrived.
I… Am… Done!
âÂÂIâÂÂm quitting the show,â Amber told producer Larry Musnik. âÂÂWhat I think is â and not trying to be a bitch â but itâÂÂs really hard, the way IâÂÂm being treated, when I work my ass off. I have postpartum depression, and I am right here.âÂÂ
There’s a Double Standard
Amber went on to take issue with Catelynn Lowell taking a month off from filming to seek treatment for postpartum depression, while Portwood was only allegedly given a week for the same problem.
It’s Such BS!

“She left to go somewhere, how is that different from me having postpartum depression and trying to get my shit together with my psychiatrist at home?” asked Amber. “I worked for a year straight, I worked for a year f-cking straight. I get treated differently than the other girls and I’m f-cking sick and tired of it.”
Truth to Tell
Continued Amber, cleary very very upset: “Am I one of the girls that was the pilot of this show? Am I 28 years old, am I the oldest one on the f-cking show? So why am I getting treated any different than any of the other girls? I’ve given you guys every f-cking thing to a T, let me tell my truth and then we can move on.”
On Stage She Went…

And when Amber brought up walking away from Teen Mom, the audience members made it clear they were in her corner. “The thing is I told the audience, I just straight up said I quit,” she told Catelynn backstage. “They were just like yelling at me saying no, we love you and stuff like that. Then I just started bawling my eyes out. Everything’s so god dang emotional right now.”
Will She Really Quit?
We’d be shocked, that’s all we can say for now.
Elsewhere, Bristol and Dakota Didn’t Kill Each Other

These two started the season married and ended it divorced, following many ugly fights about Dakota’s PTSD and other serious, personal topics.
Wow, We’re All Good?
“I was honestly dreading this trip. YouâÂÂve been pretty nice,” Bristol said to Dakota once they came face-to-face.
Can We Start Again?
“IâÂÂm glad that weâÂÂre getting along. A fresh start, right?â Bristol said to Dakota later on. “I was super nervous about having to see you.”
There May Be Hope for Peace Yet
“I think we should just try to continue this in the best way we can,â Dakota said, to which Palin replied: “Yeah, thereâÂÂs no need to fight, right?â They even ended their segment with a secret handshake!
Might They Get Back Together?!?
Gary Shirley thinks it’s possible, telling the duo during this special: âÂÂIâÂÂm not perfect. We still argue. Kristina and I argue. Amber and I argue. You never know, it might not be over.âÂÂ
A Kind Parting Shot

âÂÂA lot of military spouses, they go through it with them,â Dakota said. âÂÂItâÂÂs hard enough to be married without PTSD ⦠HereâÂÂs what IâÂÂll tell you: I think Bristol did the best Bristol could do.âÂÂ
Let’s Talk About Ryan, Shall We?
While Catelynn and Maci were getting their makeup done, they talked about Ryan Edwards actually being back in treatment, along with what MaciâÂÂs plans were for coparenting once he was home, presumably for good.
There’s No Good Solution
âÂÂWhen he gets home, weâÂÂre gonna try to talk to our attorney about seeing if itâÂÂs even possible to get a temporary hold,â Maci said of her protection order against him. âÂÂI wish there was, like, a way to get him to stay in sober living.âÂÂ
Turning the Tables

From there, Maci asked Catelynn about how her marriage to Tyler. How is their unusual separation going?
Pretty Well, Apparently!

âÂÂWe go to therapy together once a week and stuff, you know, just hitting some bumps in the road or whatever ⦠but it happens,â Catelynn said. âÂÂHe wanted to have a âÂÂ30 days to himselfâ type thing, especially with me going to treatment, he had to do so much. So I support him in that.âÂÂ
Okay, Cory Wharton and Cheyenne Floyd, Time to Spill!
Are these two gonna become a couple or what?!? They claimed no, but the other cast members had their own opinions.
Such as Dakota…
âÂÂAll IâÂÂm gonna tell you is youâÂÂd better marry Cheyenne,â Meyer said to Cory. âÂÂYouâÂÂd be dumb if you didnâÂÂt.âÂÂ
But Wharton Isn’t Ready
âÂÂI think that we can be together but right nowâÂÂs not the time,â Cory responded. âÂÂIâÂÂm not gonna lead her on and then not be ready to marry her.âÂÂ
It’s All Good! I Swear!

âÂÂI respect that heâÂÂs able to say, âÂÂHey, letâÂÂs not do this right now,âÂÂâ Floyd told Portwood. âÂÂIâÂÂll take that rather than someone feeding me some bullsh-t, feeding me a dream and then I get hurt and it turns ugly. How long are we doing this for? How long am I gonna be letting the lines get blurred?âÂÂ
So That’s It?
Later on, Cory pretended to propose, which made them both laugh. We’ll need to wait until next season to see what happens between these two.
Is the Drama Over?
For the OGs, for now. But Teen Mom 2 premieres Monday, January 14 at 9/8c and you can check out an extended trailer above!
