If you’ve been watching the current season of Teen Mom 2 , then you’re probably aware that the show doesn’t quite know what to do with Jenelle Evans these days.
Jenelle’s life is as dramatic as ever, but ever since her husband, David Eason, was fired from the show , it’s been difficult for producers to capture the day-to-day insanity that is Evans’ existence.
Fortunately, David is far from the first loser to get Jenelle pregnant.
The show dug deep into her past this week to unearth the deadbeat known as Andrew Lewis — and the results were predictably awkward.
Take a look:
Andrew Returns Remember Andrew Lewis? That’s okay, neither does his son!
Blast From the Past Andrew is the father of Jenelle’s eldest son, Jace, and he’s participated in exactly 0 percent of the boy’s life.
A Model Deadbeat Andrew skipped town when Jace was a baby, with the goal of pursuing a career in modeling.
Close Enough? As far as anyone can tell, he wound up in New York pursuing a career in partying.
Familiar Territory This week’s Teen Mom 2 started with yet another chat between Jenelle and Babs – but this time, the topic of conversation was actually of interest to fans.
Travelin’ Babs It seems Babs was about to make the trip from NC to NYC in order to make sure that Andrew is fit to meet his son.
Not Off to a Great Start (MTV) Of course, the fact that Andrew has been sending weird, late night texts has Jenelle and Babs worried that he’s still drinking heavily.
Cause For Concern Lewis hasn’t “seen” Jace in 7 years. And that encounter took place over Skype. And Jace had no idea who the hell his dad was.
The Jace Race For his part, Jace is entirely in the dark about the possibility of his father re-entering his life. But Lewis is psyched about the situation.
The Real Victim “Oh yeah, I missed out,” Lewis says over lunch with his friend Luch. “I think about him every day. I talk to you about him.
You Missed Out on…A Freakin’ Decade! “I missed out his first day of school, I missed out all the good things. Is he smart? Is he intelligent? Is he having issues?” Lewis continues.
The Blame Game Not surprisingly, Andrew says Jenelle and Barbara are to blame for the fact that he’s played no role in his son’s life.
Did You Ever Ask? “They never contacted me about how to talk to him,” he tells Luch.
He May Have a Point Here “It’s just not right that she’s keeping him away of all the good people, all the good influences that he could have in his life to guide him great places,” says Lewis, who has clearly been watching the show.
He Knows You Can’t Take Kids to Bars, Right? “Could you just imagine me being able to see my kid and who I am and what I do and how we would be, like father like son?” he continues.
All on Babs! “We would be like two peas in a pod. We’d tear this freakin’ city up. I’m getting pumped talking about it. It’s all on Barbara,” Lewis says.
Moving Past the Past “Hopefully he’ll come here, it’s not about the past anymore, it’s about moving on in the future,” Lewis tells Luch. “I’m doing good, I waited years and I knew one day that the time would come that he’s gonna wanna see who I am, what kind of person I am.”
Not So Fast Unfortunately for Andrew, the past doesn’t just disappear, and both she and Babs remember what a terrible MIA dad he was.
A Repeated Pattern (Getty) “He pops in/out of my life every couple of years, then disappears again,” Jenelle says of Andrew.
Suspicious Motives “I feel like he did it for attention more than anything because he didn’t contact me first,” Jenelle says of Andrew’s decision to contact the show’s producers first.
Jenelle’s Frustrations “I think Andrew would have to show that he is a changed person and not have his old bad habits of drinking too much,” Evans adds.
She May Have a Point “So far it seems like Andrew hasn’t changed at all. I have been in contact with Andrew here and there over Facebook a few years back,” Jenelle explains. “He couldn’t write complete sentences and seemed drunk by how he was typing/talking.”
Rock Bottom (Getty) It’s rough to have your behavior judged by Jenelle freakin’ Evans, of all people. But if anyone has it coming, it’s Andrew.
