McKee Has Been Through a F-ck Ton This Year
Forgive our quasi cursing above, but man… what a past several months it has been for the MTV star.
Elaborate, Please!
Sure thing: Mackenzie and Josh got married in 2013 and are the parents to three kids: son Gannon, 7, daughter Jaxie Taylor, 5, and son Broncs Weston, 3. The kids are very adorable.
It Was (Mostly) Smooth Sailing, Until…
On the season premiere of Teen Mom in August, Josh left for a rodeo trip. No big deal, right? No… until rumors of him cheating on Mackenzie started to heat up. Like, REALLY heat up.
How Did This Rumor Get Started?
Well… Josh left to compete in a rodeo — and then Mackenzie actually received a text from a woman who alleged that her husband (the woman’s husband, that is) went out to a bar and cheated on her – and Josh was with this random guy at the time.
Okay, Fine. So That Loser Cheated on His Wife…
… but did Josh do the same? No, he told Mackenzie on this episode. “There was no affection or anything like that there,†he told his wife of his own interactions with women at this bar, adding: “I’m just here to tell you that I was at a bar, and I’d like you to trust me when I’m getting a few drinks at a bar … I was just avoiding the fight, and I was wrong.”
Mackenzie Sort of Believed This Argument…
… until she viewed Josh’s actions on the episode in question and then decided she was finished with him. “I would like to say, that due to stress, me needing to stay focused, the media, etc. I am deciding my marriage needs a break,” she Tweeted back on August 16.
So… That Was the End of the Marriage?
So it seemed this summer. “My heart breaks for my kids. But as of right now, this is what’s best. Thank you,” the reality star added in her confirmation, taking more than a few of her fans by surprise.
See Ya, Josh!
Mackenzie clearly was a bit broken about the split, but not sad enough to take herself off the market. “Freshly single and ready to be the boss babe that I am and let God lead me to what I deserve,” she also Tweeted in August, putting herself right back out there again.
She Also BLASTED Josh
“Turns out, Josh is not a good man whatsoever,†the Teen Mom OG star told Us Weekly in an exclusive interview, explaining that she finally had a chance to see the aforementioned season premiere and: “Watching the show and catching him in lies, seeing how independent he is, I realize I deserve better.”
Oh, Well, They Had a Decent Run
They sure did… but now it seems the run isn’t over! You may not believe what happened next.
Josh Proposed to Mackenzie! Again!
Crazy, right?!? “We found our way back to each other even when we thought it was impossible,†Mackenzie gushed to People Magazine in a special feature that went live, and immediately viral, on October 24. “I fell in love with a new man.â€Â
So… Wait: They Are Engaged Again?
Yes. We’re not sure how that really works, either. But People Magazine, as luck would have it, was on hand when Josh got down on one knee to propose again.
Hooray for Us!
“Our marriage has always needed fixing. It’s always needed help,†Mackenzie also told People, adding that there has been infidelity in the past on both sides. “I had been angry with him for a long time and had never really forgiven him for the past.â€Â
How Did This Happen?
Josh and Mackenzie went to marriage counseling, and they also turned to a higher power. “One day we were walking back to our hotel room after a lesson and he just stopped me and said, ‘I’m ready to give my life to Christ. I really want to be saved,’†McKee recalls. “That is something that I’ve been patiently praying for nine years.â€Â

We don’t know how legitimate Mackenzie’s split from Josh was; it could very well have been a publicity stunt. And yet: She has the right attitude here for sure.
