If you’ve been keeping up with Mackenzie McKee, then you know her marriage hasn’t been going well lately.
It’s been going so badly, in fact, that she’s getting a divorce.
Mackenzie has said a lot about how everything’s been going, her reasoning behind the split, all sorts of things.
But thanks to these new photos she just shared, we’re starting to wonder if the split is even happening at all anymore …
So Much History
Mackenzie and Josh have been together for a long time — they welcomed their first child in September of 2011 when they were both very young.
Memories
They got married in 2013, had their second child in 2014, and their third in 2016.
What’s Been Happening?
While Mackenzie is on Teen Mom OG now, she wasn’t on TV at all for most of all that — she had her 16 and Pregnant episode, the one season of Teen Mom 3, and then not much at all until MTV picked her back up recently.

So while we know oodles and oodles of information about all the other Teen Mom couples, we only know bits and pieces about the McKee marriage.
Real Talk
And what we have heard over the years … well, it’s not great.
Ouch
Remember when Mackenzie had postpartum depression after giving birth to her last child? She said then that she was suicidal, and that Josh had told her “Go kill yourself, but don’t do it in front of me and the kids.”
What a Mess
On top of that incredible piece of awfulness, there’s also been plenty of rumors of infidelity over the years, and corresponding reports about them breaking up.

And, wouldn’t you know it, that’s exactly what’s happening now!

As we saw when she joined Teen Mom OG last season, she’d heard some rumors about him cheating on her while out on the road (he’s a rodeo guy). He denied the rumors, but then when the episodes aired, she saw some things she didn’t like.
Dang
“Turns out, Josh is not a good man whatsoever,†she said in a statement issued back in August. “Watching the show and catching him in lies, seeing how independent he is, I realize I deserve better.â€Â
Doubling Down
And on Twitter, she told her followers “I would like to say, that due to stress, me needing to stay focused, the media, etc. I am deciding my marriage needs a break. My heart breaks for my kids. But as of right now, this is what’s best. Thank you.”
Flexing
She started calling herself single on social media, she’s called Josh a “horrible person” … all in all, she’s made it pretty clear that she’s done with him.
Taking a Turn
But then she started changing her tune a bit, like when a fan asked her on Instagram about the split and she answered “I have let him go. I have to learn to love myself first. I have been with him for the kids only and it just wasn’t working. I am giving this to god and I truly believe he will give me the guy I belong with. Could be Josh, could be Channing Tatum who knows.”
What?!
She admitted that Josh still wanted to be with her, and she said that “He has been praying with me and we both ask god to lead us where he wants us.”
So Confusing
But then she said directly that she doesn’t want to work things about, and just a couple of weeks ago she confirmed that they’re getting a divorce.
Honey …
Really, it sounds like Mackenzie is very, very confused about everything that’s happened and what she wants to do going forward.
For Real Though
Like how can she say that she’s praying with him about what to do and how they may end up together and then talk about divorce a few days later? It’s weird.

And thanks to these new photos she shared from her birthday celebration last night, we’re even more confused about what’s going on.

Yep, that’s Mackenzie with Josh last night. They don’t really look so much like a soon-to-be divorced couple, huh?

Especially considering the fact that Mackenzie’s wedding ring is proudly on display here.
Makes Sense
It looks like they’re at a bar, so maybe they’ve had some drinks and that’s why they’re so friendly? So friendly that Mack captioned the photos with “Best friends forever”?

Not so much — when one of her followers commented that it “Just looks like you’re drunk in a bar and going back to what you know,” she responded with “Neither of us touched alcohol.”
What’s Next?
So what does this mean? Does this meant that they’re getting back together? Is this her announcement, or maybe just a sign that they’re taking the steps to work out their marriage?

Or was she telling the truth when she said that they’re best friends — and that’s all they are?
