Here is a photo of the new quintet out and about; with ex-The Challenge participant Floyd now part of the crew, along Sarah Palin’s controversial daughter, Bristol Palin.

Or not, Maci basically said in her caption to this photo, which reads: “awesome day working with these beauties #tmogfamily #twoisbetterthanone.”

Did You Catch It?

#twoisbetterthanone. We don’t see any way to interpret that hashtag aside from Maci saying that these TWO new additions far outweigh the ONE cast member who is now gone. And that would be Farrah.

This Wasn’t Maci’s First Dig at Farrah’s Expense

Appearing on Kailyn Lowry’s podcast in August, Maci was asked about Bristol joining Teen Mom OG. Simply put, “anyone is better than Farrah,” Bookout replied.

Farrah Claps Back

A little, at least. After learning that Maci would appear on the show Naked and Afraid, in the wake of Abraham getting fired for being naked on Web cams, Abraham said of Bookout: “The irony of this is hilarious. Hopefully she has fun on her pornographic show; [it] sounds tragic.”

What About Bristol and Cheyenne?

Maci doesn’t have anything negative to say about them, only about the way producers went about hiring these newbies and informing the other cast members.

Meaning What, Exactly?

“We were never called before [the news] was released,” she told Lowry on this same podcast. “A courtesy call an hour before, call us and say ‘This is who your new cast member is going to be.’ We have been doing this for 10 years.’

Any Hard Feelings Against Palin?

Not specifically, not personally, not from Bookout, who told Kailyn: “If someone is presented with the opportunity, you can’t be mad at someone for accepting an opportunity.”

What Lies Ahead for Maci on Season 8?

Drama, based on the trailer, mostly related to ex Ryan Edwards, who can’t stop getting arrested.

A Cause for Concern

In the 90-second long trailer, Maci’s husband Taylor McKinney tells her that Ryan called him “in a fit of rage,” prompting Bookout to suggest that they call the police on Ryan.

“I am so scared that something bad is gonna happen,” Maci says later on in the trailer, while Taylor expresses a similar worry.

But Does Maci Even Have Contact with Ryan?

No. She has a restraining order against him right now and told Lowry on her podcast: “He’s not allowed to be around any of us. He can’t just be in the same location as me and the family.”

This Really Just Sucks All Around

“I feel better that he is in jail because I know he’s safe there, if that makes sense,” Maci added in this August 2018 chat with Lowry. “I know he’s not driving around. He’s not doing something that could potentially hurt him or an innocent person. So it sucks, crappy situation for everyone.”

How are Other OGs Feeling Right Now?

What Will These Other Women Be Up To?

Bristol will be dealing with then-husband Dakota Meyer and his struggles with PTSD, saying at one point in the trailer: “We don’t know how to co-exist together. I don’t want to raise my kids to think that this is what a marriage looks like.”

Chyenne Will Be Juggling Two Men

Her baby daddy will be a featured player on the season, but so will her boyfriend — and the amount of time the latter spends with her daughter will cause friction with the former.
