Back in June, polarizing 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? star Larissa Lima taunted her haters while performing community service.
She’s content, she still has a chance to get her happy ending, and no amount of hate on social media is going to change that.
But just doing some community service like it’s a hobby isn’t what the court instructed.
Larissa has to meet a set number of hours by a set deadline.
She also has to complete a huge number of domestic violence prevention classes.
Is Larissa keeping up with the judge’s instructions?
Or is she putting herself at risk of serving prison time and then being deported to Brazil?
Larissa has a lot on her plate right now
If she messes up, she could be sent to prison and then deported to Brazil.
Back in May, Larissa had a major court date

Her divorce was over and she had already taken steps to (hopefully) secure her legal residency in the US. All that was left was her criminal trial.
Remember this?
Larissa took to Instagram at that time to share some harrowing looks at her face, smeared with blood. She said that Colt had been tormenting and “hurting” her and that she had only scratched him to defend herself before running away.
Here was a look at Colt after the same incident
Colt reportedly told police that Larissa’s wounds were self-inflicted, claiming to be a nail-biter. Fans of 90 Day Fiance were quick to pull up scores of photos in which Colt appeared to have nails that could break the skin. Despite that, it was Larissa who was charged — and who could ultimately face deportation if convicted.
So she went to court over it in late May
Everyone was on the edges of their seats to read and hear the results, and the results were … a little more complicated than people had expected.
Larissa cleared the air
She explained that she was neither found guilty nor innocent, but that she was ordered to complete a number of tasks before her next court date, which would be in July.
At least, that was our interpretation of the hearing
We published a breakdown, including that she would be required to complete community service and domestic violence prevention classes — both of which she has now been doing for weeks. It looks like we, unlike some outlets, got it right, because she thanked us for less sensational take.
Larissa has been hard at work
She had to complete a set number of domestic violence prevention classes before her next day in court — all the while remaining on her best behavior.
She’s been keeping followers “updated”
Many have wondered if she’s using what she has learned to point the finger at Colt. Because of their divorce agreement, neither of them are allowed to directly disparage the ohter.
She’s learning a lot about love
Regardless of what you believe about the scary events on the night of January 10 — and about what happened in November — Larissa had some unhealthy communication habits, and we do NOT mean her accent. Even if you don’t believe that she did the things that Colt claimed to police, you have to be happy that she’s working on herself.
But it’s not all classes
In addition to her book-learning, Larissa is also repaying her debt to society.
She’s been doing community service
Larissa has spoken to her fans and followers about her “community service-ee,” and in later June, teased that she was making real progress and might even be done soon.
What’s she doing for community service?
Pride Month unfortunately brings hateful bigots out of the woodwork, and it looks like Larissa was one of the people working the trans suicide hotline. That is a spectacular use of her time and energy.
Now, Larissa has returned to the courthouse
Court documents show that Larissa has completed eight of her mandated domestic violence prevention classes. With a total of 28 ordered, she has just 20 to go — and she has a total of six months.
As for community service
Larissa’s requirement was to complete 48 hours of community service by her next hearing — on August 4. That sounds like something that Larissa can easily accomplish if she has not already met those numbers.
That sounds great!
She just has to complete her tasks and stay out of trouble to avoid serving her suspended 90-day sentence. Yes, it really is 90 Days.
Meanwhile, what’s Coltee up to?
He is reportedly dating a new woman by the name of Jess Carolina. And get this — she’s a Brazilian model.
How does Larissa feel about that?
“Happy,” she tells her followers. “Life goes on.”
She sure has mellowed out, huh?

Sometimes what’s best for a person’s life and emotional state and relationships isn’t the same as what’s best for thier reality TV careers.
She’s moved on, too
Larissa is dating a new man, Eric(kee). He’s younger, hotter, and more independent than Colt. And they’ve been together for more than 5 months. Wow!
Larissa has her shot at happiness!

So long as she doesn’t end up getting deported, she may get her happily ever after — just not with Colt. It was never going to be with Colt. And Colt was never going to get his happily ever after with Larissa, either.
What does she plan for the future?
ESL classes aren’t a huge surprise (though really, how many of us speak a second language as well as Larissa does, let alone better?). Her interest in cold cases is certainly interesting.
Good for her!
Larissa has been all over the map in terms of her behavior on camera, but we’re rooting for her to live her best life.
