Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Orange County will be here before any of us know it.
Kelly Dodd is well aware, but revealed on The Talk she thinks that the cast needs one major mix-up before filming begins.
She thinks that most of her colleagues should return, and she has specific reasons for that.
But she thinks that Vicki Gunvalson needs to go.
And her metaphor in explaining why will be enough to curdle your blood.
Take a look:
Kelly Dodd says Vicki is old news

And she has a very specific analogy to share — after she shares why her other castmates deserve to remain on the show
Kelly on Shannon:

“IâÂÂm obviously friends with Shannon [Beador],” Kelly says. “I talk to her every day.”
Kelly on Tamra:
“I talk to Tamra [Judge] every day,” Kelly adds.
The show wouldn’t be the same without those two
“So,” Kelly continues. “I want them to be back for sure.”
Kelly on the new girls:
“I like Emily and Gina,” Kelly notes of Emily Simpson and Gina Kirschenheiter.
Kelly welcomes her newest castmates
“I think they should get a second chance,” Kelly says of the newcomers.
She wants everyone back again
“I think everybody deserves a second chance,” Kelly says — seemingly saying that everyone should be back for another season.
Well … ALMOST everyone

Kelly Dodd appears on The Real Housewives of Orange County.
Vicki Gunvalson is another story

“Vicki, I mean, sheâÂÂs kind of like spoiled milk,” Kelly laments.
Her analogy is unkind
“SheâÂÂs turning into like a cheese,” Kelly’s metaphor continues.
And that metaphor gets even less pleasant.

“⦠like a blue cheese that stinks,” Kelly says.
Vicki can’t love that

Then again, she’s heard worse. And hey, at least she was compared to blue cheese, not lorraine swiss.
Vicki has starred on the show since its inception
She has her ups and downs, but she would be a tough act to follow
So, who does Kelly Dodd want to add to the cast?

“I would think Heather Dubrow because I canâÂÂt stand her,” Kelly suggests.
Kelly and Heather are feuding

“I see her every morning at Orange Theory,” Kelly shares. “And we donâÂÂt talk, we donâÂÂt speak, not even one pleasantry.”
So why should Heather return?

“I think it would be great for her to come back,” Kelly suggests. “Just because⦠drama.””
Well, we can see her point

Also, Kelly’s mortal enemy replacing Vicki would give Kelly a very central and secure storyline
Shannon’s feuds keep her place on the cast secure

So it makes sense that Kelly wants an explosive central storyline
But maybe Orange County has enough “new” blood
Heather’s return should at least wait until producers are sure that Emily and especially Gina’s popularity among viewers continues
