This NOT exactly just in:
Kailyn Lowry and Jenelle Evans do not get along.
The Teen Mom OG stars actually were kind of close at one point, but then Jenelle went behind Kailyn’s back to tell the world Lowry was pregnant with her third child…
… and then Jenelle’s mom threatened to murder Lowry…
… and, well, the relationship has been colder than Buffalo in January ever since.
Where do things stand at the moment? When was the last time Kailyn tried to speak with Evans?
Lowry talked with Hollywood Life this week about the (non) relationship, bringings fans up to speed on the vicious feud and revealing a few surprising tidbits.

Wait, These Two Were Actually Friends?

Yes. This photo was snapped in 2013, so we need to go back many years if we’re talking about a real friendship.
It’s True

Kailyn has said that back in the early days of the show, she and Jenelle were very close, probably because they shared similar backgrounds — absent fathers, problems with their mothers, just generally turbulent home lives.
Not Cool

But after one of Jenelle’s many arrests, Kailyn bailed her out of jail, and that’s when their friendship fell apart.
Well, Fair

Back then, the moms weren’t getting paid anything near what they’re making now, so Kail was working normal jobs, trying to make ends meet. She was even on public assistance for a bit — the money she used for Jenelle’s bail definitely would have been a lot for her to spend.
What Did You Expect?

Unfortunately, Jenelle is Jenelle, so she never paid Kailyn back for helping her out. And thus, the feud was born.
Where Did It All Go Wrong?

The feud slowly but surely escalated. Eventually, Evans told the world that Kailyn was pregnant with child number-three before Lowry was ready for the world to know — and then things really spiraled.
How Bad Have Things Gotten?

Gosh. We don’t have time to cycle through all the incidents, but Evans filmed herself burning items from Kailyn’s new haircare line last year after Lowry sent them as a peace offering.
Wait, WHAT?

“Hey Kail,” Evans said in an Instagram video from late December. “This is to your peace offering.” She then proceeded to douse the items in gasoline and take a blowtorch to them.
So… the Feud is Lit?

Yes, literally. This is what Evans said while she set fire to Lowry’s gift: “Kail Lowry , for years you’ve been super jealous and envious of all us girls on the show. You try to make your way into the group, then turn into a mean ass person when it came down to me. You apologize on/off, claim I need to be apologizing sometimes, then talk s–t constantly about me and my husband to the tabloids?! THEN you had the balls to send me a PEACE GATHERING GIFT?! Don’t send me gifts and then go talk s–t AGAIN!!! Wow, you’re an idiot cuz this is what I do for gifts sent from fake ass bitches like you. Stay our of my life, go worry about your own.”
Really. This Happened.
The video is posted right above for your perusal. It’s just as crazy as it sounds.
Fast Forward a Month…

… and Barbara Evans, Jenelle’s mother, suggested to her daughter that they team up and “kill” Kailyn.
Did She Actually Say This?

Yep. During the since-deleted Instagram Live session in January, Barbara told Jenelle and Brittany DeJesus, who was also around at that time, that they should “get lit and kill Kail.”
Replied Jenelle:

“Oh my god, we’re on live, mom. You can’t say that sh-t.”
A Teen Mom Producer Then Called Barbara and Jenelle

This prompted a walk-back from Barbara. “Everybody took it out of perspective,” Barbara said after ending the call with the producer. “That’s not really what I meant. I was just doing a joke.”
More from Barbara:

“I was being sarcastic and everybody freaks out like I’m going to go kill the girl. Come on, I’ve known the girl for 10 years.”
Okay. So Now You’re Mostly Caught Up.

It was this quasi death threat that opened Hollywood Life’s interview with Evans. Kailyn told the website that she has not received a direct apology from Barbara or Jenelle…
… However, She Doesn’t Want One

“I don’t think it would be sincere,” she explains. “I don’t think it would come from a sincere place, I think it would just come because they were made to.”
There’s No Contact These Days

Lowry says that she doesn’t “have a relationship with Jenelle at all,” adding that the reality stars aren’t on speaking terms.
We Get It

She’s not wrong — can you even remember a time when Jenelle was actually sincere? About anything?
Does Kailyn Have a Message for Jenelle?

Sort of. She hopes her co-star can turn around her life in some way. “Hopefully, Jenelle cleans her act up and we don’t have to worry about being associated with her,” Lowry says.
Lowry Does Actually Have Sympathy for Jenelle

Specifically, Lowry felt for her rival after Evans called 911 in October and said that Eason “pinned” her to the ground and “broke [her] collarbone.”
Kailyn Took This Seriously

“Despite the drama that Jenelle and I have, I had actually reached out to her, I tweeted it, I reached out to our executive producer, Larry [Musnik], to see if everything was fine,” Lowry tells Hollywood Life of being concerned over Jenelle when this assault story came out.
Jenelle Has Since Recanted Her Accusation

She has said that she and Eason both fell down a hole in their backyard when drunk and it was a big “misunderstanding” and she is not a victim of domestic abuse.
Oh, OK

Apparently she called the police because she was angry at David and made the whole abuse thing up, because that’s something stable individuals in healthy relationships do, right?
Whatever, You Guys

“I didn’t get a response from anybody. So I just leave them and their situation alone because it’s none of my business,” Lowry says now of Evans and Eason.
This is the Important Thing:

Kailyn emphasizes that, above all else, she hopes that Jenelle and her three children – Jace, 9 Kaiser, 4, Ensley, 2 – “are safe.”
How Does Kailyn Feel About Eason?

He has made many anti-gay comments over the years, so much so that Eason got fired by MTV in February 2018. “Obviously, it’s unfortunate,” Lowry says of these viewpoints. “Part of me feels like, maybe that’s how he was raised and so we can’t really blame him necessarily.”
Something They Can Agree On

Jenelle’s said the same thing in defense of David — that he was raised to think that gay people are bad and so it’s OK for him to maintain those ignorant views and not even try to be a better person.
Weird

Honestly, it’s kind of bizarre that Kail, who is bisexual herself, would even think to let that be an excuse, but thankfully she’s got another opinion on it as well.
Seriously, The Guy Sucks

“Part of me is like, ‘It’s 2019, educate yourself, accept people for who they are,” Lowry concludes of Eason.
The End of an Era?

So is this it? Is Kailyn done with commenting on Jenelle’s messy life? Are they just never going to talk about each other again? We doubt it. After all, there’s basically zero chance of Jenelle cleaning up her act, and one can only bite one’s tongue for so long, you know?
