When Kailyn Lowry welcomed her third child back in August of 2017, her relationship with the boy’s father, Chris Lopez, was strained, to say the least.
In fact, at that point, Kail and Chris basically had no relationship at all.
They dated briefly, but by the time little Lux entered the world, his parents were barely on speaking terms.
So you can imagine how surprised Kail’s social media followers were when she recently hinted that she and Chris are attempting to work things out.

Kail and Chris have been spending a LOT of time together lately. And from the looks of their latest photos, the two are more than just friends.
Kail’s Confirmation
Kail recently addressed the relationship rumors on Instagram, stating that “everyone’s been asking” about her relationship with Chris, then linking to a previous Hollywood Gossip article on the subject.
Just Having Fun?
Of course, that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re a couple again. It’s possible Kail was just having fun with fans when she answered that question … or that she’s just having fun with Chris.
Spilling the Tea
The subject came up again during a recent Instagram Q&A when a fan asked Kail bluntly, “Are you single?†Lowry responded, “Nope.â€Â
The Chris Question
Kail didn’t answer any follow-up questions about the identity of her new boyfriend, but fans think it’s pretty clear she’s back with Chris.
Mixed Response
It seems that most fans are happy for Kail, but many have pointed out that Chris has shown himself to be a less than ideal partner in the past.

Granted, there’s a lot we don’t know about Chris, as he refuses to shoot scenes for Teen Mom 2.

But what we do know seems to indicate that while he may be a decent guy and even a committed father, he’s not terribly reliable when it comes to relationships.
Deadbeat In the Making
Throughout her pregnancy, Kail expressed concerns that Lopez would want nothing to do with Lux once he entered the world.
Missing In Action
While he did show up for the delivery, Chris was reportedly largely absent from the first few months of Lux’s life.
Instagram Dad
Kail often vented her frustration on social media, describing Chris as an “Instagram dad” who poses for pics with his son to give the impression that he’s a devoted father.
Bad Times
Chris returned the favor by slamming Kail on Twitter. At one point, he even posted a picture of himself burning one of her bestselling books.

In her most recent book, Kail opens up about Chris’ atrocious behavior in the months after Lux was born.

Though Kail refers to Lopez as her “first real love,” she also spoke of him as her “first real heartbreak.â€Â

Lowry went on to reveal that in the months after Lux’s birth, she was “hurt in so many ways” by Lopez’s actions.

“I’ve had my bedroom window broken while the baby was asleep with me in the room,†Lowry wrote.
Trash Talk
“My back door had been broken while all of my kids were at home… I’ve had s–t about me told to my children,†she added.
Too Much to Ask?
“I don’t care if the baby is six weeks old or six years old, a dad should not talk down about the mother of his child,” Lowry continued.
Absentee Dad
“I’ve been left to take care of everything,†Lowry wrote. “Even the responsibility for all of the baby formula was left up to me.”
Dashed Hopes
“I kind of knew that this would be a possibility, but I guess I just wanted to be proved wrong,” Lowry went on. “Because I can be totally responsible for our child doesn’t mean that I should take care of everything.â€Â
A Surprise Endorsement
Remarkably, Lopez actually encouraged his social media followers to read Kail’s book!
Reluctant Praise
“Grab a copy of A Letter of Love if you haven’t, I tried to act like I didn’t want to read it…but I did lol,†Chris tweeted after the book’s release.
Quite an Achievement
“And even though it’s things about me I may not agree with, overall proud of her! I don’t know many people that have four published books lol,” Lopez added.
Dropping Hints
That endorsement was the first of many clues that Chris and Kailyn are giving their relationship another shot.
Nothing Is Certain
Thus far, neither party has confirmed the reconciliation, but fans think it’s pretty clear that Kail is head-over-heels for Chris.
