It can be tough to keep track of everything that’s going on in Kailyn Lowry’s life these days.
Between reality TV, her podcast, and a third memoir on the way, Kail’s professional life couldn’t be more jam-packed.
And believe it or not, her love life is just as hectic.
As recently as last month, Kailyn was dating Dominique Potter and gushing about her new girlfriend in interviews.
Now, the relationship has come to an end … and it seems it wasn’t an amicable split:
Happier Times
Kail and Dom hit it off right away and moved VERY quickly. After just a couple months of dating, Potter moved to Delaware in order to be closer to Lowry.
Meeting the Kids
Moving to a new state was obviously a major sign of commitment, but perhaps an even better indication of just how serious Kail and Dom had become was the fact that Potter spent a considerable amount of time with Lowry’s kids.
A Major Step
Lowry has stated on several occasions that she would only introduce love interests to her children if she were fairly certain they would be a part of her life for the long haul. So does she regret introducing Potter to her sons? Is the fact that things changed so abruptly a sign of an ugly breakup?

Though Kail hasn’t made an announcement yet, a source confirms to Radar Online that she’s definitely no longer dating Potter.

“She’s single,” one source told the outlet in no uncertain terms when asked about Kailyn’s love life.
What Went Wrong?
So why would Kail and Dominique call it off so abruptly when things seem to be going so well? It seems that’s a question with several valid answers…
The Lopez Factor
“Kailyn decided she didn’t want to be in a relationship because she’s not over everything that happened with Lux’s dad, Chris Lopez,” says the insider.
Pining For Chris?
It’s worth noting that the source gave no indication that Kailyn has any desire to get back together with Lopez. It seems Lowry simply isn’t over the heartbreak caused by that unhealthy relationship and ugly breakup.
No Reunion
While she may not be over Chris, Kailyn apparently has zero desire to get back together with him.
Kail and Her Kids
“She decided she wanted to be alone and focus on her kids,” the insider says of Kail’s reasons for breaking it off with Potter.
No Hard Feelings
The source was reportedly quick to point out that though the breakup wasn’t pretty, Kail and Dom are “still friends.”
Hope For a Reunion?
Interestingly, Kail and Dom were just friends for a long period of time before their relationship developed into a romance. Does the fact that they’re now maintaining their friendship mean there’s a chance that they might reconcile at some point?
A Gradual Romance
“We were friends for a year, until it just kind of like turned into it,” Lowry said of her relationhsip with Potter on a recent episode of her podcast. “It’s not like she was trying to wine and dine me to get me to be her girlfriend.”
Dionisio Drama
Dominique isn’t Kailyn’s only post-Lopez love interest. She was also briefly involved with a neighbor named Dionisio Cephas. The fling fizzled quickly, and neither side seems eager to dicsuss the details of the breakup.
Hayter Lover?
And, of course, the rumor that Kailyn is romantically involved with her longtime friend Becky Hayter continues to circulate on social media. There doesn’t seem to be any basis to it, and Hayter is currently involved in a relationship with someone else.
The Scrutiny Continues
Kail’s relationship has always been a matter of intense interest to Teen Mom 2 fans, and the scturiny has only intensified in the year since her breakup with Javi Marroquin.
Honest Kail?
Though she’s secretive about certain aspects of her life (Kail denied being pregnant with her third child until well into her second trimester), Lowry is typically very forthcoming with fans. So if she were in a relationship, we think it’s a safe bet that she would say so.
So Why Is She Staying Single?
There’s been much speculation as to why Kail seems so reluctant to settle down these days, when in the past, she’s seemed to always prefer being in a relationship. Many have been reluctant to accept the explanation that Kail is still broken up about her split with Lopez, and indeed it seems there IS another factor in Lowry’s decision to remain single…

We think its easy to see why Lowry has decided to put romance on the back burner for the time being.
