Jeremy Calvert now has something in common with David Eason.
The husband of Jenelle Evans was basically fired from Teen Mom 2 several months ago for being a homophobic jackass on social media, something we can’t ever imagine saying about Calvert.
But the ex-husband of Leah Messer won’t appear next season on this MTV series, either, hence the connection between him and Mr. Eason.

Who is Jeremy Calvert? For the uninformed, he’s the second husband of veteran Teen Mom 2 cast member Leah Messer. He served as the stepfather of her twins, Aleeah and Aliannah Simms, and he’s the father of Leah’s daughter, Adalynn.
When Did He Split from Leah?
In 2015. This is when Messer filed for divorce because she thought Jeremy cared more about his job than his family and she couldn’t handle his constant absence.
And There’s Been a Nasty Beef Between Exes Ever Since, Right?
It’s understandable you would think this because this ishow Teen Mom relationships and break-ups often work. But Leah and Jeremy have remained more civil than most.
There’s Been Some Tension, Of Course
Most notable due to Jeremy pretty seriously dated a single mother named Brooke Wehr for awhile, making things awkward between him and his ex-wife, especially because Brooke was a new person in Adalynn’s life.
And Then He Dated Desi Kibler Just This Year
Messer appeared to hurl some shade at this romance, implying on Twitter that Calvert was “unhappy” with his new lover.
But This Relationship is Now Over
Because Jeremy isn’t over Leah? No, he insists, because Kibler simply refused to put him first. But is anyone buying this?
You Love, Leah, Dude! Admit It!
On a recent episode of Teen Mom 2, Jeremy called Leah to give her props for the way she has worked her way back from a few drug and mental health issues, while also apologizing. “I really truthfully, want to, like, deeply apologize for saying that about you,†he said. “I do really want to thank you for like being a good mom to my kids.â€Â

Ah, yes, this has now come out: Leah and Jeremy HOOKED UP THIS YEAR!. Messer herself confessed to the affair on an episode of the show.
So… Is There a Future for These Exes?
No. “Don’t be crazy,” Leah said to Jeremy when the possibility of these two getting back together was raised in a post-sex discussion.

Calvert took this quasi rejection in stride on air, but also made it sort of clear that he would have been down for a reconciliation. Which may explain what he has now said about his Teen Mom 2 future.
Okay. So What IS His Future on Teen Mom 2?
He doesn’t have one. Asked by OK! Weekly whether he will appear on the upcoming season of this reality show, Calvert said simply, “Nope, I’m not.”
We’re Not Shocked
We mostly like Jeremy. We’ll miss him. But if he’s pining for Leah and she doesn’t want him back, it makes sense that he needs some distance from his ex and her show for a bit.
Who Else is Gone?
As mentioned previously, David Eason was let go from MTV for saying cruel things about the gay community and for generally sucking as a person.
Farewell to Jo Rivera as Well
Rivera, his son Issac and his fiancee Vee Torrres will not appear on the next Teen Mom 2 season, either.
What About Jenelle?
We know Teen Mom 2 is coming back. But some believe Evans may stay at home with Eason when it films.

So… no David Eason, no Jo Rivera and no Jeremy Calvert. Many men from Teen Mom 2 are moving on, likely meaning we’ll see more fireworks than ever before between the ladies. Can’t wait!
