During the most recent episode of Teen Mom OG, fans took to Twitter to criticize Amber Portwood for what they viewed as manipulative behavior.
The perceived victim of Amber’s con was her ex and baby daddy, Gary Shirley.
If you’re a longtime fan of the show, then we probably don’t need to tell you that Amber and Gary’s relationship hasn’t always been a bed of roses.
But it seems they’re working on things — and Gary would very much appreciate it if fans would stop trying to make that process more difficult.
Take a look:
A Good Dad

The Teen Mom landscape is littered with deadbeat dads, but to his credit, Gary has always prioritized the needs of his daughter, 9-year-old Leah.
Thick and Thin

Gary has been there for his daughter during times when Amber was either physically or emotionally unable to be.
Gary and Kristina

These days, Gary is married to Kristina Anderson, who also seems to be fully devoted to Leah’s happiness.
Amber’s Struggle

Amber, on the other hand, is not exactly a fan favorite and has often been accused of putting her kids last.
To Be Fair

Amber does have a lot on her plate these days, what with a new baby and a relatively new relationship with Andrew Glennon.
No Excuse

But TMOG viewers were not eager to cut Amber any slack this week, as evidenced by their comments on Twitter.
Vacation Drama

The latest episode featured Gary and his wife joining Portwood and her clan on a joint family vacation.
Sweet Baby James

At one point, Kristina volunteered to watch Amber’s baby so that she could spend time with Leah. Portwood took her up on the offer.
Quality Time

Amber and Leah seemed to really enjoy their time together, even getting in some parasailing … and for some reason, that really pissed viewers off.
Amber’s Reaction

Amber, of course, responded to the criticism the same way she responds to everything — with seething rage.
Tweets of Rage

“I never get to see my daughter barely and now that I am you guys have the audacity to complain about me wanting to do something like parasailing with her?” Portwood tweeted.
Does She Know What a Pity Party Is?

“It’s something she can remember and cherish and you all are turning it into a [pity] party when no one even cared!” Amber continued.
Pissed off Portwood

Needless to say, Amber is not happy. And surprisingly, Gary is 100 percent in her corner.
Gary Time

“Every parent deserves a break. [Kristina] offered [to] watch James [to] give [Portwood] some much deserved rest. That’s perfectly fine,” Shirley tweeted.
Prioritizing Family

“We don’t have a whole lot of people to lean on so we have each other we do our best for [Leah], Emilee, [and] James. We are a unique family,” Gary continued.
Gary Going In

“So let’s all understand we all can judge a few seconds of someone’s life, but never know what’s going on fully,” he added.
We Family

“[Portwood] [and] I are trying our best to be positive for Leah and all involved. It was only one day, and we offered ’cause we knew they both needed some rest. We family,” Shirley concluded.
Co-Parenting Win

As we said earlier, there’s a reason that Gary is the most well-liked of all the Teen Mom baby daddies.
Making It Work

Amber and Gary may have been awful together as a couple, but they’re really making this co-parenting thing work.
