Ever since Farrah Abraham was fired from Teen Mom OG, rumors about who might replace her on the wildly popular series have been circulating nonstop on social media.
Two early frontrunners emerged in the form of a pair of Mackenzies.
Mackenzie McKee seemed the obvious choice, having previously been considered for Teen Mom 2, a role that eventually went to her former Teen Mom 3 co-star Briana DeJesus.
Ryan Edwards’ wife, Mackenzie Standifer, would have also been a logical selection, but in the end, she too was passed over as Farrah Abraham’s replacement.
Instead, according to a new report from The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, producers went with a woman who’s never been on Teen Mom – and, in fact, has never even been a teen mom.
Needless to say, fan reactions have run the gamut from confusion to outrage, as no one seems particularly excited about the new addition.
Except, of course, for the lucky mom who got the job.
The End of a Farrah

Farrah Abraham might have been a ratings magnet for Teen Mom OG, but in the end, producers (and co-stars) just couldn’t stand to work with her anymore.
The Assassination of Abraham
Farrah was fired from the show last year, and the mad dash to find a suitable replacement began immediately after that decision was made.
A Tale of Two Mackenzies
Both Mackenzie Standifer and Mackenzie McKee were floated as possible replacements, with Mackenzie jumping out to an early lead.
She’s Earned It
Many felt that Standifer deserved full-time cast member status due to all the turmoil she endured in her relationship with Ryan Edwards.
A Rough Road
Standifer has been publicly dragged through hell by Edwards, all while receiving the relatively meager pay of a second-tier cast member.
Hard Times

Viewers watched as Standifer stood by Edwards’ side throughout his painful battle with drug addiction, refusing to abandon Ryan even when he passed out while driving to their wedding.
A Downward Spiral
The situation got worse in recent months, when Ryan was arrested yet again, AND caught cheating on Standifer while she was pregnant.
The Clear Front-Runner
Fans reasoned that MTV was indebted to Standifer for allowing the network so much access to her turbulent life. Not only that, making her a full-time cast member was sure to result in even more ratings-friendly drama. But alas, Standifer was passed over for the position …
She’s Not the Only One Who’s Suffered
In recent months Mackenzie McKee became the preferred choice for many fans, partially due to the courage she’s displayed in the wake of her mother’s cancer diagnosis.
A Fan Favorite
McKee was a fan favorite during her time on the short-lived Teen Mom 3, but she was passed up for a role on Teen Mom 2 when producers selected her former castmate Briana DeJesus, instead.
A Major Clue
Fans assumed McKee had the job when an MTV camera crew was spotted outside her home several months ago.
Like It Or Not…
In the past, outlets have “confirmed” that McKee would be next to join the cast, but according to The Ashley’s sources, MTV has worked out a deal with a dark horse newcomer …
Meeting Cheyenne
So who is Cheyenne Floyd? Well, she’s a 25-year-old L.A. native who’s very familiar to fans of other MTV reality series.
Are You the Challenging One?
Floyd has previously appeared on lesser-known shows such as Are You The One? and The Challenge. She and fellow Challenge castmember Cory Wharton share a 1-year-old daughter named Ryder.
Crunching the Numbers
Yes, Cheyenne had her first daughter at the age of 24 — which makes her a very strange choice for a show called Teen Mom OG.
No G

Not only did Cheyenne never have the experience of being a teenage mother, the “OG” in the title stands for “original girls,” something that Cheyenne most definitely is not.
A Done Deal
The Ashley’s insiders claim Cheyenne and MTV have kept things on the down-low, but Floyd and Wharton will 100% be appearing on Teen Mom OG in the very near future …
The Dotted Lines Have Been Signed
“ItâÂÂs official,â the source said. âÂÂThe only way this doesnâÂÂt happen is if Cheyenne or Cory backs out, but contracts have likely already been signed so itâÂÂs highly unlikely.âÂÂ
Getting to Know You…
Cheyenne first rose to fame on the high-stakes MTV dating show Are You the One? Her baby daddy, Cory, might be familar to fans from his time on Real World: EX-Plosion.
The Rest Is History
Cheyenne and Cory met on the set of MTV’s The Challenge. We think it’s safe to say they hit it off.
The Big Reveal
At first, Cheyenne chose not to reveal the identity of her baby’s father. She confirmed rumors that Cory is the dad with this photo.
Co-Parenting Win
“Cory is nothing short of an amazing father,” Floyd captioned the pic. “We are so blessed to be raising mooch as co parents together and I couldnâÂÂt have asked for a better father for my princess.”
The Very Best
“Our daughter is the best of both of us,” she concluded
Big Shoes to Fill
Obviously, replacing ultimate drama queen Farrah is no easy feat, but Cheyenne loves sharing both her bikini body and her baby with the world, so at least the two moms have something in common.
The Fans, They’re Not Thrilled
Thus far, most Teen Mom OG fans aren’t even aware of Cheyenne’s existence. The ones who have caught wind of the casting news aren’t too excited about it.
Everyone’s a Critic

Asked about her feelings on TMOG in a recent interview, Farrah offered what might be interpreted as some veiled words of advice to her replacement.
Newbie Syndrome

âÂÂI do not spend my energy on any of that although I did suffer from âÂÂnewbie syndromeâ when I was first on the show,” Abraham said when asked about the future of the series.
Rock That Confidence
âÂÂBut I learned early on growing up in real life that you might be pretty and talented and not everybody is as self-confident as you and it creates jealousy and I have had that working with various co-stars over the years,” Abraham concluded.
Consider the Source
Sound advice, but Cheyenne might not want to take too many cues from Farrah …
Farrah’s Folly
After all, this is a woman who was fired from the show and just spent time in jail for assault charges last week. Like we said, it won’t be easy for the new mom to bring the drama quite like Farrah did – but at this point, that might be a plus for producers!
