Catelynn Lowell has another bombshell to drop.
It can’t match the announcement made by this Teen Mom just a few days ago (SHE’S PREGNANT!), but it’s a pretty important tidbit to share nonetheless.
In an interview with Radar Online, Catelynn shared the exact date on which her third child is due, while also getting candid about the reaction of her family to this enormous piece of news.

How Did She React to the Pregnancy?
Lowell has already admitted it wasn’t planned, and she expounded on that in this interview, telling Radar: “Whenever you find out you’re pregnant, at first t’e like an initial shock and anxiety. It’s like oh my gosh, you just get a little anxious.”
Fair Enough. How Far Along is She?
14 weeks, Catelynn says, which doesn’t mean she is totally out of the miscarriage woods. But once a woman is past 12 weeks, the odds of a miscarriage grow considerably lower.
Thank Goodness, Right?
Catelynn and husband Tyler already went through a miscarriage a few months ago; the former was so traumatized that she entered rehab for a few mental health problems.

When Did Catelynn and Tyler Learn the News?
“At first, it was scary and emotional and it just takes you by surprise. I found out at five weeks… once it sunk in, we started getting more and more excited.”
Which Teen Moms Knew Before the Public Announcement?
Only a couple. “Maci and Amber,” Catelynn said of Bookout and Portwood, adding of her co-stars: “When I told them, they were both super excited for us.”
And Which Family members?
“When I first texted my mom, I sent her a picture of the pregnancy test and wrote her like, “What the Hell cam I gonna do?” Catelynn confesses, saying she was unsure she was ready to be a parent again.
But Mother Knows Best
Continues Catelynn: “My mom was like, ‘Are you kidding? It’s going to be amazing.’ She was super excited.”
What About Her Dad?
He was “just jumping off the walls,” Catelynn says. “He wants another granddaughter. Everybody was super supportive.”

Catelynn has admitted that she wants a boy, although she’ll obviously be thrilled with any healtht child.

“I think we both want a boy for sure, but also we have Nova. So it’s, like, if we’re just meant to have girls, we’re meant to have girls.â€Â
Was Tyler’s Family Also Psyched?
You know it! “Tyler’s mom was really excited,” Catelynn says, emphasizing an excitement theme that appears to have run through everyone associated with this impending bundle of joy.
What About Nova?
Tyler and Catelynn are already parents to a precious three-year old. “I will rock it and feed it bubbles,” the toddler says in an adorable Teen Mom OG clip.
How Does Catelynn Tell Nova About the Baby?
By cooking pink and blue cupcakes and being told my her mother that a gender reveal party is on tap. “Mommy has a baby in her belly. And tomorrow, the party is cause we’re gonna find out if it’s going to be a little girl or a little boy,” Catelynn says in a clip from Teen Mom OG Season 8.

They gave up Carly, who is now nine years old, for adoption because they didn’t feel ready to be parents as teenagers.
Overcoming a Troubled Past
Catelynn completed multiple stints in rehab for depression after she suffered her aforementioned miscarriage. She and Tyler have also talked openly about challenges in their marriage.

Rushing to His Wife’s Defense
Tyler has even clapped back at some really misguided haters, those who have actually written online that Catelynn should not be a parent against due to her mental health struggles.

Those are the two words Tyler wrote in response to someone who attacked these trolls on Instagram via the following quote: “If no one with depression had kids the world would start shrinking at an alarming rate. If you are one of the lucky few never to experience it. Give a prayer of thanks and don’t talk about what you do not understand.”
