Bristol Palin is not here to take any responsibility.
She’s not here to shoulder any blame.
And she certainly isn’t here to apologize.
Throughout her brief stint on Teen Mom OG, Palin has been at the center of more episodes than any other cast member.
Makes sense, right? You don’t hire the daughter of an ex-Vice Presidential candidate and then NOT feature her prominently.
But Bristol has taken to Instagram in order to blast producers for her portrayal, arguing that they are making her look bad on purpose because they need her to be a controversial figure — just like the woman she replaced, Farrah Abraham.
Is this accurate?

So Frustrated (MTV) Bristol Palin is annoyed by the way she’s been portrayed on Teen Mom OG. She blames producers for editing footage in ways that paint her in a negative light.
Really, Bristol?!? (MTV) The bulk of her time as a Teen Mom cast member has been spent arguing with ex-husband Dakota Meyer. Early in the season, she came across as not very understanding about his PTSD, which resulted from seeing many of his team members killed in Afghanistan.
What Prompted Palin’s Outburst? We can’t say for certain, but Meyer asked her on the latest episode of Teen Mom OG to call or text him when cameras were not around, accusing her of just wanting attention.
The Internet Has Also Turned Against Her Ratings for this season are way down and viewers don’t seem to care about Bristol’s exploits, perhaps because they dislike her mother so much.
What a Ditz! This is what someone wrote to MTV about Palin’s unwelcome presence on the franchise after Monday’s episode aired.
And This is What Bristol Wrote Back: (MTV) “dumb.. if you’re going to criticize me, at least be grammatically correct.” She’s clearly very annoyed at the moment.
And Now She Has GONE OFF (MTV) As a caption to this photo of her and her three kids around the Christmas tree, Palin has blasted producers and alleged they are setting her up to be a villain because they need a dramatic replacement for Farrah Abraham.
Take It Away, Bristol! (MTV) “If I cared what people thought of me, I wouldn’t be here today – let’s be real,” she wrote to open this accusatory message. “I’ve stood strong and held it down for my kids since day one. No matter how bad @teenmom tries to portray my “life” ….. my babies, my family, my close friends – they know the TRUTH.”
I. Am. Awesome! (MTV) Continues Palin: “I’m a pretty great mom, work my ass off, show up, and hustle everyday to give my kids a pretty great life. @mtv doesn’t want to talk about faith, show work ethic, or juggling three kids alone, they don’t want to show the humble process of starting over after a divorce, building a career, or any real life issues.”
Editor’s Note: (MTV) No. Of course they don’t want these things. Had Palin never seen the program before signing on? They want tears, fights and controversy. D’uh.
I’m Not Farrah! (MTV) “All they want with my little segment each week is some fake fill-in Farrah Abraham/Jerry Springer BS, and it’s simply not true,” Palin adds. “Don’t get me wrong – I’ve said some mean things and learned a lot the last several months – but the life I’ve built for my kids is NOT sitting around talking about baby daddy drama.”
Ah, Yes, Farrah (Getty) Abraham was fired by MTV in early 2018 due to her refusal to stop taking part in amateur pornography videos. She was infamous on Teen Mom for feuding with co-stars and being a general menace.
In Conclusion, Writes Bristol: “Every week is a continued disappointment with their inaccuracies and false narratives. I hate getting all emo on you guys but I’ve kept quiet for too long about it. Don’t believe everything you see on TV.”
Silly Bristol Internet users weren’t exactly sympathetic to Palin’s rant here, as you can see above.
They are Just Reacting to What She’s Saying (MTV) Of course producers edit footage, but Bristol has come right out this season and been insensitive to Dakota Meyer’s PTSD, while also accusing him of abandoning her son with Levi Johnston.
Meyer is to Blame, Too, Of Course Heck, he recently compared Bristol to cancer. These two have said some very ugly things about each other.
Meyer Apologizes Meyer actually jumped on Instagram himself after this Monday’s episode and wrote: “my comment tonight on @teenmom insinuating that Bristol has put anything before the kids was wrong and tasteless. It’s the furthest thing from the truth and I apologize to her and the kids for that.”
Eff the Liberals! (MTV) One fan wrote in response to Palin’s caption that MTV was trying to “tarnish” her and Dakota for being “on the wrong side of the political spectrum,” saying the network was “liberal brainwashed sheep.” Palin agreed, saying: “I knew that going into it, didn’t have any idea how bad it would really be.”
So… Now What? (MTV) Palin is reportedly making $250,000 this season. If she really wants to garner sympathy and to prove that MTV is to blame for her portrayal, there’s one way to way to do…
… Quit the Show (MTV) Walk away from this fortune and this fame and then we’ll take your side, Bristol.
