For a while there, Barbara and Jenelle Evans appeared to have patched things up.
The formerly estranged mother and daughter seemed devoted to repairing their badly damaged relationships, but now it seems that their progress has come to an end.
The problem is that — just like the rest of the world — Barbara is disgusted by David Eason.
And for Babs, it seems, Eason shooting and killing Jenelle’s dog was the final straw.
Now, according to a new report from The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, Barbara is taking a stand to protect her grandson — even if it costs her relationship with Jenelle.

So Close … So Far Away
For a while there, it looked as though Jenelle and Barbara would be able to beat the odds and repair their badly-damaged relationship.
Babs and Jace
Barbara, of course, has full custody of Jenelle’s eldest son Jace, an arrangement the women reached when the 9-year-old was just a baby.
Doing a Solid
Babs even lent a hand in David’s absence on the current season of Teen Mom 2. Since David was not allowed to film, Barbara showed up to act as a sounding board for Jenelle’s problems.
The Shot Heard Round the World
It looked as though Jenelle and Babs had finally found some common ground — then David basically ruined it all by being his psychopathic self.
One Very Dangerous Lunatic
As you’ve no doubt heard by now, David shot and killed Jenelle’s dog, an 11-pound Frenchie named Nugget — after deciding the pet was a threat to his family’s safety.
Taking a Stand
Now, The Ashley’s Reality Roundup is reporting that Barbara will not allow Jace to visit Jenelle and David’s property out of fear for the boy’s safety.
The Appropriate Reaction
“Barbara is still in contact with [the people from MTV] and she said that since Jenelle isn’t leaving David, she can’t allow Jace to go see Jenelle because she knows that will mean Jace will be around David,†a source told The Ashley. “She was horrified [about the dog’s murder].â€Â
Babs the Hero
“Barbara told Jenelle she is contacting her attorney to get something in place banning David from being around Jace,†the insider added.
Cut Off
The Ashley reports that Jenelle has now severed all ties with Barbara and has even gone so far as to block her mother on Instagram.
A Sign of Progress
Babs was reportedly pleased by comments Jenelle made about the possibility of divorcing David as a result of the shooting.
False Hope
Unfortunately, Jenelle has now returned to The Land, and is once again living with David.
Moving In the Wrong Direction
“Barbara is very upset that Jenelle has chosen to return to The Land and David,†the source said.
Smart Move
“She is sad that Jenelle has cut her off again for trying to keep Jace from her, but Barbara wants to protect Jace from whatever else may happen [on The Land],” the insider added.
Not Alone
Babs isn’t alone in her efforts, as Kaiser’s father, Nathan Griffith, is also taking action to ensure that his son will never be in David’s presence.

Jenelle is set to square off with Nathan in an upcoming custody battle. Their court date is currently set at May 30
The Obvious Solution
The easiest thing that Jenelle could do for herself and her children is to leave David — but it doesn’t look like that’ll happen anytime soon.
