While Little People, Big World fans wonder when Jeremy and Audrey Roloff might have more kids, the ones that they have are hitting major milestones.
This week, Radley turned on year old.
To mark the occasion, Auj took to her Instagram Story to share a series of throwbacks.
She included going into labor at the birthing center, the moment of actual birth, and more.
Audrey also showed fans a pretty intense brag about her placenta while showing it off to the camera.
People love seeing cute babies. A few folks could have done without the placenta.
SO …
After a series of baby bump throwbacks, Audrey began telling her tale from November 8, 2021. Notably, her water did not break when she gave birth to Radley. She and Jeremy opted for a birthing center rather than a hospital. Specifically, Audrey wanted a water birth.
She welcomed Radley at 6:32 PST
There is no truly “comfortable” pose in which to give birth, but many pregnancies find a soon-to-be parent taking on different poses as their body works to rearrange itself and expel a tiny new person. For Audrey, it looks like being doubled over in the tub did the trick.
Yes, Audrey included footage of her giving birth
Don’t worry, it’s Instagram safe, but she did warn people that the actual childbirth might not be for the faint of heart. Radley entered the world still surrounded by his amniotic sac, which a midwife then had to open so that his skin could touch air for the first time.
Awwww!
There is a reason that many people wait a few days or even weeks before snapping photos of newborns. Radley, like most babies, had different coloration just after birth. That’s okay. Childbirth photos are not modeling shoots.
Radley was BIG
A 9 pound baby is big. Not record-breaking, but large enough that — depending upon numerous factors, including proportions — size alone could have made a C-section mandatory. And yet he didn’t even burst his amniotic sac.
Enter the placenta
Not only is Audrey plugging Ningxia (long story short, it’s a supplement and part of some essential oils, something that’s supposed to have a number of alleged health benefits … she credits it for the size and perhaps coloring of that vibrant crimson placenta, it seems), but she’s showing off the placenta for all to see. Even people who stuck around for the childbirth part of her Instagram Story weren’t quite prepared for that part.
This baby blanekt is a tradition
While “trucks on one side” and “kitties on the other” may be the most gendered brainrot we’ve ever heard (we’re talking about newborns who don’t know what trucks or cats are, let alone have their own interests, already being sorted into weird gender role corners), the blanket itself is a sweet tradition.
Awwww!
Not every parent gets these first moments of bonding. Surgeries, medical crises, and complicated legal situations can rob families of tender moments. But we’re sure that Audrey treasured these first memories with Radley.
WHEN did Ember get so big?
Wearing what appears to be a leopard-spotted onesie, we see her holding her newborn baby bro in this precious pic.
Awww!
But of course, Radley did not stay a newborn forever. After all, this went down last year. Now, he’s one year old.
Happy birthday, Radley!
It looks like he received a very structurally stable wheeled vehicle for his birthday. The kind that he can ride indoors as well as outside, where it’s safe.
He’s one year old!
And he’s just too cute for words. Even the people giving Audrey grief over flaunting that placenta can appreciate what a cutie-pie Radley is.
