Previously, Ashley Martson has claimed that Jay Smith’s GoFundMe page is pure fraud.
Now, she has some words to say about the woman running it.
She says that Kayla, who has allegedly been dating Jay since January, may have a special reason to want Jay out of prison.
Ashley says that she strongly suspects that Jay has knocked up his side-piece-turned-girlfriend.
That girl has now opened up about the topic, but insists that Ashley doesn’t really know as much about her as she thinks.
And then there’s a huge twist in this story that no one saw coming. Take a look:
Jay Smith has not been having a hot girl summer
Instead, he spent weeks cooped up in ICE custody, awaiting what appears to be an inevitable deportation.
Ashley did a new interview
The 90 Day Fiance alum appeared on the Domenick Nati radio show, where she was happy to spill some scorching tea on her ex. According to Ashley, Jay has been dating a “stripper-turned-bottle-service-girl” since January of this year.
She didn’t name the side piece
Tastefully, she’s not calling out the girl by name, but she did confirm that she’s referring to the young woman who is running Jay’s GoFundMe. That woman is Kayla O’Brien.
Ashley says SHE, not Kayla, is in a position to help Jay
“Honestly, I could get Jay out of the detention center tomorrow if I wanted to,†Ashley shared. “The fact that I refused to sponsor him and sign his green card is why he’s in the detention center right now.”
But she’s not going to do that
Filing that paperwork wouldn’t just be doing labor for someone who doesn’t deserve her help — it would be putting herself in an awkward position. She would have to act as Jay’s sponsor and be “responsible for him for 10 years.”
She has an extra reason for not doing that
“From what I saw … she was at court … she definitely looked like she could have been expecting … ,†Ashley revealed. “If I would sign my name on that, I would be responsible for [Jay’s] child support for another child. No way in hell am I going to put my name on that line. There’s no way.”
Ashley is very familiar with this girl
She says that Kayla has sent her multiple videos of herself with Jay, which is definitely an odd choice.
Jay sure seems to know her, too
“He was blowing kisses to her in the courtroom,” Ashley recalled. “Thinking everything was a joke.”
When was the last time she saw her cheating ex?
She sure as heck hasn’t gone to see him, that’s for sure. “We saw each other in court but that was it,” Ashley admitted.
Of course, Jay isn’t the only one in trouble with the law
Jay violated a PFA (Protection from Abuse) order, which is extremely serious. But Ashley is also dealing with her own charges.
Why did she yeet a fire extinguisher through Jay’s window?
“I was leaving for a cruise,” Ashley recalled. “I was leaving for vacation, and he took my son’s PlayStation as well as my passport and I called him and said, ‘Did you take it?’ and he said, “Yeah, you can come get it.”
Here’s how she says it went down
“So when I went to get it, he had like, a house full of girls and was like, screaming profanities at me through the door,” Ashley described. “And I just kind of lost my s–t and I was supposed to be leaving for vacation and yeah, just threw a fire extinguisher through his window. And he did call the cops, yes.”
How serious is it?
Ashley is charged with criminal mischief and simple assault, but her attorney is trying to get those charges reduced.
What’s the worst-case scenario?
She’s looking at community service right now. “I’m not looking at jail time or anything like that,” Ashley assured her fans.
On a much more serious note …
Ashley has made references to alleged abuse within her marriage. Leaked text messages appeared to accuse Jay of spousal rape. Is she prepared to address what her marriage was really like? Because these things are so, so much more serious than cheating.
Here’s what Ashley has to say:
“This is kind of something I don’t care to talk about,†Ashley said. “I mean, I got a Protection from Abuse so it’s kind of something that you guys can figure out, but it’s something that I’m just trying to keep between the two of us and not get into too much detail about.”
On a lighter note …
“There’s talks of a dating show, there’s talks of a couple of different other things, so not quite sure yet,” Ashley says when asked about her future reality career. “We’re still working on that.”
She MIGHT even get her own dating show
At least, Ashley acknowledges that it “is a possibility.”
She’s certainly entertaining enough for it
Ashley has plenty of fans who would love to see her on TV again — so long as she isn’t anywhere near Jay.
Some people really take to reality stardom
For others, it’s a one-time gig and then they just enjoy having a larger-than-average social media following for years to come.
Kayla had something to say about all of this
Speaking to In Touch Weekly, Kayla rebutted Ashley’s claims: “I was not a stripper first that converted to a bottle girl, I have actually always been a bottle girl lol it’s funny how much stuff she makes up by herself.”
And also …
“[Ashley] also never saw my body in the courtroom,” Kayla insists. “So her pregnancy speculations are trash, I was sitting the entire time.”
She’s confident about this
“I was sitting before she walked in, and she exited before me,” Kayla explains. “But regardless, Ashley is in no place to body shame anyone.” We do agree that body-shaming and disparaging someone for being any kind of sex worker, including a stripper, are two things that are never okay — even if you’re mad.
This story has one more twist
Jay spent almost the entirety of July in ICE custody after he flagrantly violated Ashley’s PFA. Even Ashley was upset at the idea of him just sitting in a cell until his deportation date.
Jay is out!
After his boss apparently bailed him out on a whim, Jay was released on Wednesday, July 31. Kayla was, as you can see, overjoyed to see him again. I gotta say: she doesn’t look pregnant to me.
