Ashley Martson and Jay Smith are one of last season’s most dramatic 90 Day Fiance couples.
That was as true off-screen as it was on-screen.
Ashley shocked fans this week by showing off glimpses of what appears to be a professional camera crew in her home, filming her and Jay.
They’d said that they were quitting the franchise. Did they have a change of heart?
Speaking to In Touch Weekly, Ashley is giving further details on the images.

Are Ashley and Jay returning to TV?
As you are about to see, Ashley posted some glimpses into her home that make it pretty clear that she and Jay did some filming.
We already know about one future appearance
Ashley and Jay filmed for 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? That has been something of an open secret for a while.
Then it was confirmed
In the aftermath of Ashley and Jay’s fraud scandal, when it was discovered that Jay was running an account that was “leaking” the couple’s photos, Ashley came clean about everything — and confirmed that they had filmed for the spin-off.
But … didn’t they quit?
Happily Ever After? would have finished filming months ago. And Ashley said that she and Jay had quit the show because the drama and forced fakery just got to be too much.
Did they have a change of heart?

What gives?
We haven’t really heard of 90 Day Fiance doing reshoots this long after they wrapped filming with a couple. But there’s a first time for everything. Plus, it’s always possible that they were filming for some other season or spin-off.

We have to take into consideration that 90 Day Fiance stars could always get a reality career that isn’t part of the franchise.
That almost happened to Danielle
Danielle Mullins Jbali was on the verge of a deal that would have given her a reality makeover series of her own, but the plan fell apart. Danielle said that her agency was being too controlling of her social media. They fired back that she was just unreasonable and unstable. But still, it COULD happen.
Ashley is clearing the air
Speaking to In Touch Weekly, Ashley says: “As for filming those photos were throwbacks from filming 90 Day Fiance.”
So they’re not back on TV … but not for lack of interest
“Other networks have asked us to participate,” Ashley reveals.
But she and Jay have turned them down
“But at this point,” Ashley explains. “My main focus [is] on my family and health”
Ashley’s health battle is serious
She has had multiple long-term hospitalizations just within the first few months of this year.
Ashley has lupus
The autoimmune disease has ravaged her health and given her kidney failure. Jay has stuck by her side throughout.
At one point, it appeared that they were done
Jay downloaded Tinder almost immediately after the couple got married. Ashley caught him FaceTiming with another woman late at night, just days after their nuptials.
But they worked it out …
In fact, Ashley says that a lot of what appeared to be genuine reports about her and Jay separating and having trouble was manufactured drama at the instruction of producers.
But they’re still a dramatic couple
Which is why they filmed for Happily Ever After? in the first place.
