Harvey Weinstein was accused of sexual misconduct in damning reports in the New York Times. In the aftermath, things got worse when more than 50 women came forward with their women came forward with allegations of rape, assault and sexual harassment against the disgraced movie mogul. The chain of events set off the #MeToo movement in which people took to social media to reveal their own experiences.
Kevin Spacey’s Career Drops Like a House of Cards
It’s hard to believe that Kevin Spacey was once seen as one of the finest actors in the business. With several awards under his belt and rave reviews for much of his projects, the only way was down. Star Trek: Discovery star Anthony Rapp alleged that Kevin made unwanted sexual advances towards him at a party in 1986. Rapp was 14 at the time of the incident while Spacey was 26. In the aftermath, Kevin thought it would be a good idea to apologize while claiming not to remember the incident. As if that was not bad enough, he confirmed in the same statement that he has been living as a gay man. The world was not impressed. House of Cards was swiftly cancelled by Netflix, and production on the series was placed on hold. Spacey was fired and the show is expected to resume production with Robin Wright taking on the lead role.
Kevin Hart: The Adult Movie Star
Kevin Hart got hot and heavy with a model in Las Vegas, but his world was turned upside down when it emerged that the whole incident was caught on video and was being shopped to adult entertainment companies. To make matters worse, Kevin’s wife, Enriko was eight months pregnant, but the pair is seemingly still together. Kevin is very likely scared of cameras for life.
Kathy Griffin Beheads Her Career
Kathy Griffin is well-known for her knack for going too far when it comes to her comedy. Nothing could prepare her for the backlash she received when she posed in a graphic image with a fake head that was supposed to be Donald Trump. She apologized when she was blacklisted by Hollywood, but has since retracted the apology because she seemingly has nothing else to lose. The comedian will likely think twice before thinking about cracking a joke in 2018.
DeMario Jackson and Corinne Olympios Shut Down Paradise
DeMario Jackson and Corinne Olympios got way too drunk while filming Bachelor in Paradise. Their sex romp was met with a whole lot of controversy when rumors emerged that Corinne was way too drunk to give consent. Production was halted on the series and everyone was sent home. After an investigation, it was found that there was no misconduct on the set. The show later re-entered production and both Jackson and Olympios chose not to return.
Corey Feldman Claims His Life is in Danger
Corey Feldman has long been open about knowing the names of Hollywood pedophiles who made his life hell as a young star. Things took a turn in October when he said he said he would finally reveal the names of the people. Then, he posted a Youtube video and claimed that his life was in danger. “I had a near-death experience last night where I felt like I was almost going to be killed,” he said. “Two trucks came speeding at me at the same time on a crosswalk.†That incident was not enough to silence the actor. He later alleged that Jon Grissom and Alphy Hoffman were pedophiles.

In 2017, the star was in the headlines multiple times and it was down to the fact that White’s family held him accountable in giving her prescription drugs. Carrey tried to turn the tables in September 2017 and countersued, claiming that White’s death was not his fault.

The world was enamored with the trailers for A Dog’s Purpose, and it was poised to be the feel-good movie of the year. However, a video from the set appeared online in January and it raised a lot of questions about animal safety. The producers were quick to play down what went on in the video and said that the conditions were not bad for the animals. The damage was down and Universal Pictures canceled the film’s red carpet premiere.

According to Buzzfeed, R. Kelly was essentially running a cult in both Chicago and Atlanta. The report stated that he did not allow the women to eat unless he allowed them to and that he forced them to have sex with him. The rapper denied the accusations via his lawyer, but more allegations against him emerged.
Bill Cosby’s Big Mistrial
Bill Cosby was accused of sexually assaulting and drugging several women. He was poised to end up behind bars when he found himself in jail after one of the cases went to trial. The case was about an encounter between Cosby and Andrea Constand in 2004. Constand alleged that Cosby gave her drugs and touched her. After six days of not being able to make a decision, the judge declared a mistrial.

Details of a memo Steve Harvey sent to his staff were leaked, and it gave fans a whole different side to the star. It reads: “There will be no meetings in my dressing room. He actually has stage 4 brain cancer, but whatever floats your boat.” Samantha was quick to apologize when she realized her error.

Pepsi wanted to promote its brand and thought it was a good idea to use Kendall Jenner because she and her family have a knack for garnering publicity from doing absolutely nothing. The commercial was met with a negative response because it found the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star leaving a photoshoot to join in on a protest. The big finish involved her giving a police officer a cold can of Pepsi. The commercial made very little sense, and most questioned whether it was an attempt from the Kardashians to prove they were down-to-earth. The commercial was pulled, and Pepsi apologized.
