Forbes magazine has released its annual rankings of the highest-paid women on the small screen, and let’s just say it pays to be funny.
Seriously. It pays A LOT. Like a lot a lot.
Via data collected between the previous season (June-June), the publication has confirmed that the three top TV actresses are all comics.
They star on popular comedies, that is. Not that the seven other stars listed below in this annual top 10 fared very poorly in their own right.
Ready to count down from #10 to #1?
Let’s do this…
Julie Bowen – $10 Million

Julie Bowen, of course, stars as Claire Dunphy on Modern Family.
Julianna Margulies – $10.5 Million

The Good Wife star is now unemployed. Who wants to write her next huge paycheck?
Priyanka Chopra – $11 Million

Not too shabby for an actress with just one season of a hit show (Quantico) on her resume.
Stana Katic – $12 Million

No wonder Stana Katic was pissed over basically getting fired from Castle. She made a lot of money!
Kerry Washington – $13.5 Million

Who knew you could make so much money just by burying scandals and secrets in DC?
Ellen Pompeo – $14.5 Million

Heck, she could probably ask for anything she wants at this point. She IS Grey’s Anatomy.
Mariska Hargitay – $14.5 Million

It’s no crime, how much this Law & Order: SVU star makes. She’s worth every penny!
Mindy Kaling – $15 Million

The Mindy Project moving to Hulu did not exactly hurt Kaling’s bottom line.
Kaley Cuoco – $23.5 Million

Forgive the obvious here, but that’s a big number for this Big Bang Theory star.
Sofia Vergara – $43 Million

Whoa there! She tied Cuoco last year for the top spot. But she’s in a class all by herself now
