Spencer Pratt has taken time away from sex tape peddling to follow the script in his break-up with Heidi Montag issue a heartfelt apology.
In a statement that said he required some “intense soul-searching” and would be following “appropriate avenues for my issues,” the reality star took full responsibility for the split with Montag.

“Divorce can be a trying, draining, and emotionally devastating experience for all involved,” Spencer wrote to People. “Despite these hardships, most individuals manage to conduct themselves with dignity and maturity. I did not – I failed spectacularly.
It’s unclear for which action Pratt is apologizing: his teasing of a Heidi Montag sex tape; his Tweeted insults against her; his stalking of her in Costa Rica. Hopefully, all of it.
Concluded Spencer: “Over the years, her love, support, and friendship were always given, but never properly cherished. I let her down. She never deserved the pain and anguish I put her through, and although I don’t expect it, I hope in time she’ll be able to forgive me.”
