Well, this is a new one.

In the past, we’ve shared clips from Wheel of Fortune that featured a contestant actually solving the puzzle with just one letter on the board.

There was also that really awful, awful guess by a Wheel of Fortune contestant.

But we’ve never seen the following before.

This clip features a player named Nura who throws host Pat Sajak for a loop when she makes some rather unusual letter picks in the final speed round.

She asks for a Z at one point, for example.

“Say that again for me?” replies a baffled Sajak.“Did you say ‘Z’?!”

Yes. She did.

Later on, Nura asks for an X.

“X. There is no X,” Sajak says in return.

Nura, who seemed stumped by the puzzle, also missed two other opportunities later on because she couldn’t decide on a letter to call before the buzzer went off.

Again, we’ve never seen that before.

Not surprisingly, Nura did not guess this puzzle properly.

But she did correctly solved enough of the previous puzzles to earn a whopping $13,970 and move on to the final bonus round. For real!

“May I ask you a question?” Sajak said as he congratulated her on the big win. “You called some unusual letters that round!”

“That’s what I saw!” Nura explained.

Well… okay then! Who are we to judge?!? We didn’t just win $13,970 in cash and prizes.

And then there’s this theory: It was Military Week and the man who won the speed round was a military member who would have gone home empty-handed if not for Nura.

Might she have thrown the puzzle to earn him some money?!? That would be pretty awesome if so.
