Kris Jenner was not a big fan of Caitlyn Jenner – at least she wasn’t in the immediate aftermath of her transition and public unveiling.
If you watch I Am Cait online, you saw Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian bluntly call out the former Bruce Jenner Sunday night.
Their complaint? That Caitlyn had been unfairly, and disrespectfully, negative about Kris and their children in her Vanity Fair interview.
Next week it’s Kris’ turn. She says:
"You’re sensitive and amazing to all these new people in your life, [but] not so sensitive and amazing to the family that you left behind."
Damn. Caitlyn’s response?
"I try to do everything I can to be nice, reach out, you have to see it from my perspective. Be an ally when it comes to the kids."
One quote in particular from the landmark Vanity Fair piece didn’t sit well, as Kim and Khloe said on I Am Cait Season 1 Episode 4:
Caitlyn described her family, and the fact that she’s been raising kids for three decades straight, as a distraction from discovering herself.
Kris, fighting back tears, says, "When you feel like you gave your whole life to somebody and the sum of it all was you were a distraction."
Caitlyn doesn’t agree, saying:
"Don’t go there. I was defending myself. It was a distraction from the sense of who I was, that doesn’t mean I didn’t love you or the kids."
Seeing Caitlyn called out by Kim, Khloe and Kris in the span of two weeks sheds some light on just how complicated this situation is.
Will they all let bygones be bygones, moving forward as a modern family? Or will the bad blood continue? All we can do is stay tuned.
