Ashley Martson and Jay Smith are no longer dating.
In and of itself, this is not a shocking statement. The 90 Day Fiance stars are nearly as unstable as fellow reality TV personalities Jen Harley and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro.
But the circumstances behind their latest split may come as a shock to even those who have followed the couple very closely over the past several months.

What’s the Deal with These Two?
Martson and Smith met on a 90 Day Fiance, with the latter hailing from Jamaica and needing to marry a U.S. citizen in order to live here permanently. They wed in 2018, as seen on 90 Day Fiance Season 6.
What Went Wrong After That?
Uhhh… everything? For starters, Smith was caught using a dating app days after their wedding. He was chatting with other women on Tinder.
Was It Over After That?
Not exactly. The stars broke up and then reconciled and then Ashley filed for divorce in January 2019 and then took it back and then filed a second time in April 2019.
For What Reason?
Because Smith was caught with a woman in a barbershop bathroom. This was merely the latest example of him cheating on his wife. Jay was then taken into ICE custody after he violated a protective order Martson had against him.
So It Was Definitely Over Then, Right?
It sure sounded that way. “Honestly, I don’t really care if he’s deported,†Ashley told In Touch Weekly just this past August.
What the Heck Happened from There?
It’s sort of unclear — but there were concerns in September that they got back together again after the two attended the same event in Pennsylvania. Ashley later confirmed that she was, indeed, willing to give Jay yet another romantic shot.
But Not Anymore! Now It Really Is Over! We Think!
Ashley has given a new statement to In Touch in which she says she dumped Jay because — ready for this??? — he got another woman pregnant.
SIGH. We Shouldn’t Be Surprised, Should We?
“I’m a big believer in following your heart and it is true that I took Jay back once again. I know people will judge me and, while I can accept that, it was ultimately my decision,†she told this tabloid.
Fair Enough. Go On, Ashley…
“However, what my friend is saying turned out to be true and Jay confirmed it himself on the phone that he did indeed have another girl who is claiming he got her pregnant. He said he doesn’t believe her but they are going to get a test done and, regardless, it’s clear he cheated on me.”

“I am distraught yet again and am picking up the pieces and doing my best to move on. I know that I only have myself to blame for the situation I’m in again. It’s no one’s fault but my own. I can safely say I am, once and for all, done with Jay,” added Ashley to In Touch.

A rep for Ashley has said the following: “At this time, my client is personally focused on herself and her personal life and her children. After giving someone so many chances, you learn to grow and see the better for yourself. She wishes Jay nothing but the best.â€Â
The Calm… and Then the Storm
While Ashley seemed calm and collected in her In Touch statement, she then BLASTED Jay on Instagram a few hours ago, writing: “After officially getting back together again, I heard that Jay got ANOTHER girl PREGNANT. Stop making girls get abortions because you’re a whore.â€Â

Ashley also posted a screenshot of her phone log with the caption: “Bro, you called me and then I told you off and blocked you, so you started calling me blocked. After telling me her and her aunt beat your door down because you blocked her when she told you. Man up! This is my last post about him. I’m done and deserve so much more.â€Â

Ashley’s friend, Carina Passalacqua, told In Touch that she thinks Jay manipulated Ashley into dropping the divorce and also the protective order she had taken out against Smith.

“Okay … seriously enough is enough. Having Ashley call me to let me know jay is begging to come back once again after another ‘mistake’ is starting to get really old. I don’t know how many times it’s going to take for her to realize how negative he is for her life and how much better off she is without him,†Carina said to In Touch.

“I support her no matter what and have always stood beside her in her choices, but I’m done when it comes to Jay,†she added.

“Go be young, go be immature and go live your life the way you want to but don’t drag her along. Apologies aren’t real apologies from him and mistakes aren’t mistakes when they keep happening.
