It’s been almost a year since David Eason was fired from Teen Mom 2, and saying he hasn’t been missed by viewers would be a massive understatement.
Judging from reactions on social media, most TM2 fans are glad to be rid of David, and they wish Jenelle would follow him out the door.
Evans, however, remains committed to her goal of forcing MTV to rehire her husband.
Needless to say, that campaign is going very poorly so far — especially since Jenelle couldn’t have picked a worse time to try and rebuild David’s public image.
A One-Income Household
Jenelle’s motives for trying to strongarm her MTV bosses into rehiring David are quite simple. After all, it’s not like she’s the type to selflessly accept the role of sole breadwinner.
Doubling Down
Jenelle earns upwards of $300,000 for each season of Teen Mom 2. David was never paid nearly that much, but no doubt his income served as a nice supplement to Jenelle’s.
Even Angrier Than Usual
Jenelle is currently filming the upcoming season of TM2, and she’s made no secret of the fact that she’s very pissed off by her husband’s continued unemployment.
One of Her Famous Rants
Jenelle recently bit the hand that feeds her in a major way, unleashing a full-blown social media rant against Teen Mom 2 producers.
Boring, Boring, Boring
Jenelle informed fans that the show’s new season will be painfully boring, largely due to the absence of Eason.

It seems Jenelle’s bosses aren’t crazy about her attempts to torpedo ratings, but she’s showing no signs of holding back …

Jenelle claims MTV is focusing too much on her dual custody battles with her mother and Nathan Griffith.

Clearly, we would all much prefer to watch David standing around on the land and muttering about how the house is sinking.

Jenelle concluded her tirade by claiming that her random complaints about how boring her storyline will be this season have nothing do with her previous, totally unrelated complaints about David being fired.
Give This Man a Job!
Despite her claims to the contrary, Jenelle is clearly obsessed with the idea of David being re-hired by MTV.
A Difference of Opinion
Fans aren’t so thrilled with the idea, and for good reason.

For starters, Eason was fired for hurling homophobic slurs at fans, which should be enough to keep him off of TV from now until the end of time.
REALLY Bad Timing
On top of that, Jenelle’s pro-Dave campaign comes at a time when Eason is facing down a slew of abuse allegations.
Disclaimer
Now, we should note that these are just rumors, and David has not been formally charged with abusing his wife or children (despite having CPS called to his home 20 times in less than a year).
Yeah, No
Still, TM2 producers weren’t exactly scrambling to re-hire David before, so it seems especially unlikely that they’ll give him another chance in the wake of these allegations.
A Scary Situation
Just last week, Jenelle was rushed to the hospital for a medical emergency. She claimed it was for her sinuses, but many fans were left with the impression that she had been struck by David.
Targeting Kaiser?
Many have accused David of taking his aggression toward Nathan Griffith out on Nathan’s son, Kaiser.
Sick Stuff
David has been known to refer to Kaiser as a “bitch,” and many on social media believe this photo of Kaiser peeling a banana that David is holding in his lap was posted in order to taunt Nathan.
Mysteries of the Land
We may never know exactly what goes on behind closed doors at Jenelle and David’s house, but we think it’s safe to say Eason will never again appear on Teen Mom 2. And that’s a very good thing.
