Jenelle Evans has managed to avoid the recent run of controversy surrounding Teen Mom 2 for one simple reason:
Jenelle Evans has been avoiding Teen Mom 2… entirely.
The controversial star simply skipped last weekend’s reunion taping, at which Briana DeJesus and Kailyn Lowry reportedly got into a scuffle.
But is this elected, temporary hiatus about to become a forced permnanet one?
Is Jenelle Evans about to get fired from Teen Mom 2?
We have a reason to believe so. Scroll down to learn what that reason is…
Why Might Evans Get Fired?
Well, for starters: she’s basically asking to be? Recent reports have said Jenelle is refusing to film. It’s like she’s playing a game of chicken here.
Reunion? Schmunion!
Jenelle did not attend the multi-day taping of the Teen Mom 2 reunion in New York City last weekend. Yes, she avoided an altercation between Briana and Kailyn, but that isn’t the point obviously.
WAHHH!!! WAHHHH!!
Evans basically admitted on Twitter that she stayed home because attending would have been “uncomfortable.” Pretty sure that’s not a permitted reason, according to her contract.
All About Eason
Evans allegedly stayed away from the reunion because MTV refused to pay for husband David Eason to attend. Said an insider: “When [the producers] refused to agree to pay for David, Jenelle said sheâÂÂs not coming. This has been going on for a long time, them battling back and forth, and MTV refused to budge.”
And Why Wasn’t Eason Welcome?
Because he’s already been fired for making homophobic remarks!
Is Jenelle Next?
This is now the question on the minds of all Teen Mom 2 viewers. It’s been a topic of conversation among fans for several weeks, ever since Eason was let go.
Here’s the Latest:
The veteran reality TV star “remains on very, very thin ice with MTV and could be fired from the show,” a source tells Us Weekly, citing the reasons we’ve listed above.
When Will This Get Settled?
Continues this tabloid source: “Jenelle will be interviewed this week for the Teen Mom reunion since she refused to go to New York City for filming.” Along with scenes for the episode itself, producers will use the opportunity to speak candidly with Evans.
And with Eason?
No, says this report: Eason “wonâÂÂt be interviewed since he was fired from the show. David has expressed interest in sitting down with Dr. Drew Pinsky, but at this point, who knows if that will happen.”
For Better, For Worse and for Firings
Evans married Eason in September 2017. They share a 15-month-old daughter, Ensley, and a pretty close bond. Jenelle has been standing up for Eason on social media and MTV is likely aware of this awkward situation; of a cast member talking constantly about someone it fired.
Jenelle is Even Taunting the Producers
“So glad I stayed home from #NYC this weekend with my babies. Too much drama! #CalledIt,” Tweeted Jenelle after reports of Briana and Kailyn’s fight went viral. In other words: So glad I disobeyed my bosses, guys!
It’s Her… or Us?
On the last episode of Teen Mom 2, Chelsea, Kailyn and Leah didn’t exactly stand up for Jenelle. Quite the opposite: they threatened to quit if producers didn’t do something about her destructive ways.
It’s About to Hit the Fan
“She is ready for the confrontations but is really dreading all of them ganging up on her,” an insider has told Radar Online of Jenelle and her co-stars.
Good Riddance?

“Jenelle wants nothing to do with all of them,” the source continues. “She is so tired of the girls and their guys and even their parents being mean to her.”
So… Would She Actually Quit?

Please. Of course not. Where else would Jenelle find work, let alone work that pays this well?
A History of Controversy
It’s not like Jenelle has been free from controversy, either. This isn’t the first time she and Eason have caused an uproar. The two got heat earlier this year for posting photos of themselves with semi-automatic weapons on the same day of the Parkland school shooting.
And Then for Doing This:
The stars then shared a fake news story criticizing one of the teenage survivors on Facebook.
Rage on the Road
There was also THIS ROAD RAGE INCIDENT, in which Jenelle allegedly pulled a gun on a fellow driver.
What is MTV Waiting For?
This has become the common consensus. Evans is pulling out guns, defending her homophobic husband anbd not showing up for filming? What does it take to actually get fired?!?
What Could Be Next for Her?
But even if Jenelle is a goner from Teen Mom 2, we have bad news: She may never go away. She may film a spinoff with Briana DeJesus.
