Kailyn Lowry is on Teen Mom 2, obviously, but just like so many of us, she can’t seem to escape all that’s going on with the OG crew.
Which makes sense — there’s a whole, whole lot going on with those crazy kids.
For example, this week Ryan Edwards has provided us with enough drama to last a whole entire year, at least, with the news that he impregnated Mackenzie Standifer.
Which, of course, was followed swiftly with the news that he was arrested for violating his probation.
Like we said, there’s a lot going on, and with Kailyn throwing herself in the middle of it, there’s so much to discuss.
So let’s get right into it!
Unfortunate
So things aren’t going so great for Ryan Edwards right now, as you can probably tell by that new mug shot of his.
Tsk Tsk
Earlier this week, Ryan was arrested at his home for violating his probation, because apparently at some point in time he was arrested for possession of heroin. He was just in jail for a few hours before being released on bail, and from over here, it looks pretty bad.
Hmmm …
But as Mackenzie explained in a statement, “everything is fine,” because the original arrest, the one for possession of heroin, happened last April, and as for what just happened, it was all planned because “part of his case was he had to be booked.”
Sure, Mackenzie
Obviously that makes absolutely no sense at all — he was arrested for violating his probation, so why would that be part of the original plan? And if it WAS planned, why wouldn’t he surrender himself to police, why would they have to come to his house to arrest him? In what way is any of this fine?
Oh Girl …
It’s also odd because at the last Teen Mom OG reunion, Mackenzie claimed that she had no idea that Ryan was doing drugs until that fateful scene when he was nodding off on the drive to their wedding, which happened in May. So what, did she just miss his arrest the month before that? If you’re going to lie, Mack, at least try to come up with a decent story.
What is the Truth?!
Also, a news station from Ryan’s hometown of Chattanooga reported that the original arrest for heroin happened on March 12th, so perhaps he’s not as sober as Mackenzie would like us to think.
AND ANOTHER THING
Another fun little thing that happened this week was that we learned that Ryan and Mackenzie are expecting their first child together! She has said many times that he’ll be a great father, which is funny/tragic because he already is a father and he’s never been that great at it. Plus all the heroin stuff.
Too Much
So to recap, Ryan was arrested for having heroin, he violated his probation in some way a couple of days ago and got arrested, there’s a very small chance he’s clean these days, and also he’s going to be a father again soon.
Not Having It
So many of us Teen Mom viewers are appalled at all of this — and it turns out that Kailyn Lowry is no exception.
Get ‘Em!
“That girl trying to secure her bag on someone else’s name,” she wrote on Twitter yesterday morning. “Sounds familiar.”
Real Talk
After specifying that she was talking about Ryan and Mackenzie, she continued with “People struggle with addiction – and that’s unfortunate enough. But IN MY OWN OPINION. I see someone who came in & manipulated a situation to her own benefit. To secure a check. Then went a step further & got pregnant so that when they split, she is set with a couple dollars. But that’s MY OWN opinion.”
Well …
She also told Us Weekly that “Being a part of this reality TV thing has opened my eyes to a lot of things. And anybody with their eyes open (in this industry) could see what she was doing from a mile away.â€Â
Nothing But the Truth
So basically she said what literally everyone else was thinking — that Mackenzie saw an opportunity to get a little bit of fame and a little bit of money, so she went ahead and married Ryan, the guy that risked her life by shooting up heroin before driving them to their wedding.
A Rebuttal
But as you’ve probably figured out by now, Mackenzie doesn’t deal with the truth so well.
Yikes
In a statement to Radar Online, Mackenzie said that Kailyn is “a bitch,” and that Kail’s criticism was rich “coming from someone who gets knocked up every two seconds by three different people.”
Easy, Killer
Mackenzie should consider that she’s on her second child with her second husband at just 21 years old, and also that she’s the one who’s having a baby with a deadbeat dad with a penchant for intravenous drugs, so …
A Word from the Boss
Kailyn wasn’t the only one who spoke out though — executive producer Morgan J. Freeman tweeted “Please remember addiction is a disease. When in its grips, you lose the power to choose and are fueled by an insane urge to use even when you don’t want to. So have empathy and compassion for those who suffer. Judgement can kill, so be careful.”

Even Simon Saran, Farrah’s old flame, got in on it, tweeting that Ryan would continue doing drugs as long as he kept his MTV gig. He then told Freeman that “It’s time for this sh-t show to end. You know everything that goes on in their lives. You continue to enable them and cause them to resort to drugs and bribe them to have children they can’t take care of for your own financial gain!”
Sad
Any way you look at it, it’s clear that a lot of people have a lot of feelings about what’s happening with Ryan. As always, we wish the best for him, but things are honestly looking pretty bleak right now.
