Catelynn Lowell has been through many, many things so far in her life.
Her father hasn’t been around all that much, her mother was emotionally abusive when she was younger, and it’s clear that she really struggled with her decision to place her daughter, Carly, for adoption.
In addition to all of that, or perhaps because of it, she’s had issues with depression and anxiety for much of her life.
Last year, things had gotten so bad with her postpartum depression that she went off to spend a few weeks in an inpatient facility to try to get a handle on things.
And a couple of weeks ago, she revealed that she’d once again be heading off to get treatment.
Is she doing any better now?

Catelynn’s Struggles
In November, Catelynn shocked us all by tweeting “Well today I thought of every way to kill myself.. so I’m going to treatment.” Teen Mom fans know she struggles with her mental health, but we had no idea things had gotten this bad again.

She further shocked us in an official statement she released, one that read “I’m taking the time I need right now to take good care of myself… On November 17th I thought of every way possible to commit suicide… from wrapping a belt around my neck to just running my car into an electric pole… THANK GOD I have a support system and a HUSBAND and a DAUGHTER… thank god I am self aware… I’m seeking treatment and I WILL get better… anyone feeling alone you ARE NOT ALONE! This world needs all of us! We are all here for a reason… Thank you for your support during this tough time…. Much Love, Catelynn Baltierra.â€Â
Off to Rehab
So Tyler escorted her to a treatment center in Arizona to get a handle on things … and speaking of Tyler, can we gush about him for a moment?
Oh, Tyler …
He and Catelynn have been together since middle school, which is insane. Through the years, they’ve grown together and supported each other through so much, and it’s obvious that he’s being strong for her now.

He tweeted that message after Catelynn revealed her plans to enter rehab … so sweet, right?

Shortly after that, he shared this darling little snippet of some text messages between the two of them.
The First Day
The morning after Catelynn revealed her plans, Tyler made a post on Instagram that read “We just dropped her off. We haven’t held each other & just cried like that for a long time. Even after 12 years, I continue to be AMAZED by her strength, vulnerability, & courage to get help. “As long as I am alive, you will never be alone†– It is my call to arms & I will fight this war with her right by her side, we will not surrender to this…I will go to battle EVERY TIME for her!”

The day after that, he posted an update — so far, so good!
Thankful
Tyler is no stranger to, as the kids say, “getting all up in his feels,” and he did just that when he saw a Thanksgiving-themed clip from Teen Mom. How precious is he?
A Visit!
After one week of treatment, Tyler headed back down to Arizona to visit his wife. And listen, that emoji isn’t the only thing around here with hearts in its eyes — this guy really is such a sweetheart, right?

When the Teen Mom Twitter account shared a little video about Catelynn, Tyler took the opportunity to publicly appreciate her even MORE.
The Stress of It All
As much as he’s been supporting Catelynn, he also took some time to admit the reality of the situation: that supporting others that much really can be tough. Here’s hoping he’s taking care of himself right now, too.

As a source revealed to OK! magazine, “She was on a 48-hour lockdown, which included no phone usage, but now she gets to use her phone for a while every day. She’ll get more privileges as time goes on.â€Â
Hard Times
The insider, who seems to be a friend of Tyler’s, also said “He said they hugged for what seemed like an hour. They cried. It’s hard for him. She’s determined to stay the whole time.â€Â
Sacrifices
One big thing, though, is that Catelynn has to be away from her daughter, and of course that’s hard. The insider explained “She’s so worried about Nova. She feels like she’s abandoning her, but she knows her being away is for the best.”
Poor Nova
“Nova asks about her and for her, but she isn’t aware that she’ll be away for a while,” the source added.
