Britney Spears’ close friend and “adviser,” Sam Lutfi, is set to appear before the Los Angeles city attorney on December 18, Us Weekly reports this morning.
The closed-door hearing stems from an August 27 accident that occurred when Lutfi, 33, allegedly rammed his Mercedes into a Range Rover driven by Aaron Cohen, a process server hired by Kevin Federline to subpoena Lutfi in the ongoing custody battle with his lunatic ex-wife and two-time baby-mama.
Sam Lutfi reportedly collided with Aaron Cohen’s car after Cohen attempted to serve him the legal papers. Around that time, process servers also tracked down Daimon Shippen, Alli Sims, Larry Rudolph and others close to Spears.
Sam Lutfi and Britney Spears: Best friends forever.
A police officer at the crash scene initially described the collision with Aaron Cohen as “assault with a deadly weapon” by Sam Lutfi, but LAPD officials now say that the case is now being considered a “vehicle vandalism incident.”
Celebrity news outlets say Sam Lutfi (often misspelled Sam Lufti) was eventually subpoenaed to testify in the custody case but has not yet given a deposition.
This is the second time Lutfi has been in the news in the last week alone. He sent the text message to Ryan Seacrest refuting the rumors that Britney Spears is pregnant and that quote-unquote music producer J.R. Rotem is the dad.
