In Paris, France, embattled rapper Kanye West broke down in tears during his first concert since his mother, Donda West, died earlier this month at age 58.

Kanye West had begun to perform his track “Hey Mama” — which he wrote about Donda West, who passed away November 10 after apparent complications from plastic surgery — at Le Zénith in Paris Saturday, but he could not continue.

After being comforted by his band, West, 30, paused quickly and then left the stage. He later returned to perform “Stronger,” MTV UK reports.
