Kim Kardashian recently claimed that she never threw shade of any kind at Taylor Swift.
She apparently forgot about that time she released a video online of Swift chatting via telephone with Kanye West and approving a few controversial lyrics to his song “Famous.”
But Kanye most definitely did not forget.
On Saturday night, September 17, Kanye performed a concert in Nashville, Tennessee.
The home of country music, Nashville has also turned into Swift’s adopted hometown. It’s where she keeps her main residence.
And we’re guessing West was well aware of this fact when he sang “Famous” THREE times on stage, while also asking audience members to sing along to the parts where he refers to Swift as a “bitch.”
He also claims in the single to have made Taylor into a big-time celebrity and says he could probably still have sex with her.
When the track first went public this spring, Swift reacted in offended shock that Kanye would dare rap such things.
Fast forward several weeks, however, and Kim took to Snapchat to drop the following truth bomb on both Taylor and the world in general:
That’s a phone call between Swift and West.
It certainly sounds as if Swift is giving her approval to these insults, doesn’t it?
However, as Taylor later pointed out, she was never asked about the part where Kanye refers to her as a “bitch.”
Kanye and Taylor have a long history, of course.
Back in 2009, he interrupted her MTV Video Music Awards acceptance speech to tell viewers that Beyonce deserved to win Best Video instead.
In the years since, however, it appeared as if Kanye and Taylor had done more than just make amends.
Heck, Kanye even sent Swift flowers one time and there has been talk that the two might collaborate on a single someday.
This is why it came so far out of nowhere when Kim Kardashian released the above video and even when West released “Famous.”
Does he really have no better topic to tackle than a years-old Taylor Swift beef? And why is it a diss to Swift to say he may still be able to have sex with her?
Shouldn’t that offend his wife?!?
No word from Swift yet in response to Kanye’s Nashville-based set.
But we don’t expect to hear any.
She’s done her best to remain above the fray this entire time, barely even making any public appearances or comments since Kanye and Kim teamed up to go after her.
