It’s been almost a year since Apollo Nida reported to prison to begin serving an eight-year sentence on fraud charges.
Though he wasn’t exactly on the greatest terms with estranged wife when he started doing his time (as evidenced by the fact that he verbally assaulted her on his way to jail), Apollo is legally still married to Phaedra.
That may be giving Nida a glimmer of hope, but it seems that Phaedra has simply been too busy to finalize the divorce.
Radar Online is reporting that Parks wants nothing to do with Nida, and she’s still ignoring his desperate pleas for her to bring their kids for a visit.
It was first revealed back in April that Parks had not brought her sons to see Nida during the first eight months of his sentence.
On Thursday, it’ll be a full year since Apollo turned himself over to authorities, and he still hasn’t seen his kids.
“The one thing I will say is that every single decision I make is based on one thing: the well-being of my two boys,” Parks once said in response to a question about her decision to cut all ties with Nida.
“It’s easy for people to ask why she did that or why she isn’t doing this, but the simple truth is unless you are in that situation yourself, you really can’t make that judgment.”
Unfortunately for Apollo, prisoners don’t have any rights when it comes to custody.
