Last time we checked in on Bristol Palin, she was encouraging the IRS to go after Beyonce, and her reasoning sounded suspiciously similar to the Tea Party’s justification for why the country’s tax code became an unbearable outrage right around the time Obama got elected.
Needless to say, Bristol is a bit unhinged these days, so when we heard that she’d written a blog post about Iggy Azalea, Kylie Jenner and other celebrities who have undergone “enhancements” to alter their appearance, we had our popcorn at the ready.
As we expected, Bristol spewed some grade-A nonsense all up in our faces. What we didn’t expect is that her latest drivel is actually an impassioned defense of Kylie, Iggy, et al.
“Recently, several young celebrities have come forward and admitted to altering their appearances. Kylie Jenner, for example, just admitted she has had her lips done. And Iggy Azalea has admitted to a nose job and breast implants.
“I really appreciate their honesty and openness about their struggles with their body image. I think it humbles them, and gives them more credibility.”
Well that was certainly unexpected.
We’re not saying there’s any reason to throw shade over Iggy’s boob job or Kylie’s “temporary lip fillers” – far from it!
It’s just that it’s so rare that Bristol has anything favorable to say about those gosh darn Hollywood liberals (Somewhat ironically, Caitlyn is the sole conservative in the Kardashian clan.) that it seems odd that this would be the issue that would get her to reach across the aisle and give a pat on the back.
Sounds like Bristol is leaving the door open to having some work done in the future, and that’s totally fine. In fact, we’d like to take this opportunity to fill you in a little secret, Bris. (Can we call you Bris?):
You won’t believe this, but show business is filled with people who have had plastic surgery, and most of them aren’t the least bit ashamed of it. See? Those Hollywood types aren’t so hard to relate to after all!
Just ignore any rumors you might hear about Kim Kardashian and Hillary Clinton. We’d love to hear your thoughts on that selfie, but not when we’re this close to finding some common ground.
