In the wake of the Bill Cosby sexual assault crimes, many have lost their affection for the once beloved Cosby Show.

And now that Raven-Symone is speaking up about her experiences on the show, it is even harder to feel any affection for the hit TV series.

Symone recalls being fat-shamed on the set of The Cosby Show when she was just 7-years-old.

"It was definitely hard," the 29-year-old said on Tuesday’s episode of The View. "I remember not being able to have the bagel or anything at – we would call it crafty, where it’s just a table of food, ready for you to eat whatever you want.”

She continued, “And I remember people would be like, ‘You can’t eat that. You’re getting fat!’ I’m like, ‘I’m 7! I’m hungry!’"

Symone wouldn’t disclose who made the fat-shaming comments.  But she did admit that being shamed about her weight was upsetting and affected her throughout her career.

"I’m not going to put them on blast, but that’s what I was told at that young of an age," she said.

"Even up until I got up to 180 lbs. on That’s So Raven, you put nasty stuff in front of me, or you put images of these women that I’ll never aspire to, of course I’m going to get depressed."

The actress turned talk show co-host made a special point to articulate that weight is contingent upon more than just what one eats.

"It’s more than just the food – it’s what’s in the food, and it’s your cortisol level and it’s your serotonin level," she explained. "That has a really strong effect on your body type."

Recently, Symone shared with People Magazine that she still struggles with insecurity even though she appears to be ultra-confident.

"Maybe I just know how to hide it a little better," she said."I’m like, my insecurities? Lock them in a closet until I get back home. Put on an extra pile of makeup or a girdle and let’s go.”

Raven-Symone reached peak stardom by playing Cosby’s step-granddaughter, Olivia.  At 27-years-old, she retired from acting.  But a few years later, Raven-Symone joined The View as a co-host.
