Wedding bells are in the near future for the newest Bachelorette couple!
Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth have gone on their first public date since Season 11 of The Bachelorette came to a conclusion Monday night.
And what else would they talk about on their date besides wedding plans!!
The couple opened up about the upcoming wedding during a press conference on Tuesday, July 28.
"I would get married [in Vancouver]," Kaitlyn said when asked if marrying in her native Canada is an option.
Booth joked: "Either there or Vegas with Elvis, we’re still trying to figure that out.”
Kaitlyn gave Booth the final rose on the season finale of show on Monday night. Though it wasn’t easy letting down runner-up Nick Viall and fan fave Ben Higgins, she knew she made the right decision choosing Booth.
Bristowe even said that her family knew Shawn would be her choice their hometown date. "I think it was just more of an eye opener. [They were] like, ‘What are you doing? Obviously your connection with Shawn is stronger,’" she said.
Kaitlyn also gushed, "And I’m more myself with Shawn. So it’s just kind of nice to be taken back to the real world for a second with my family and see that they definitely saw what I saw as well.”
They are keeping their options open for the wedding. Like their Bachelor predecessors Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici, they haven’t ruled out a televised wedding.
"We would consider it," Bristowe said.
Booth added: "[It’s] something we talked about for sure.”
As for living arrangements post-wedding? They are thinking about splitting their time between Canada and Booth’s Tennessee home.
Bristowe mentioned, "We’d have to definitely sit down and have a conversation about it.”
"I think we love the idea of having a summer home in British Columbia or Vancouver and living in Nashville. I think that sounds [like a] pretty big deal.”
They still have one big step to make before going any further with their wedding plans. Kaitlyn needs to meet Shawn’s mom.
"[I] definitely would love to introduce her to my mother within the next month at some point and just be able to hang out with each other and get to know one another,” Booth said.
