Josh’s mother, Lori Greenberg, told The Gainesville Sun that she is “baffled” by the tragedy and that toxicology report’s results will not be available for two months.

Greenberg founded Grooveshark in 2007 alongside friends Sam Tarantino and Andres Barreto.

In April, after facing multiple lawsuits for copyright violations, the service was was shut down as part of a settlement between Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment and Warner Music Group.

Said its founders in a statement at the time:

"Despite the best of intentions, we made very serious mistakes. We failed to secure licenses from rights holders fro the vast amount of music on the service. That was wrong. We apologize. Without reservation."
