Hussein Fatal, a rapper and former Tupac Shakur collaborator, was killed over the weekend in a fatal car accident.

He was 38 years old.

Born Bruce Washington Jr., Fatal converted to Islam later in life and was part of Tupac’s hip-hop group, The Outlawz.

The remaining musicians in that group, which was founded by the late Shakur in 1995, Tweeted a photo of Fatal and Shakur from The Outlawz’ official Twitter account and relayed the sad news.

"Rest in Paradise our brother Hussein Fatal he passed away in a car accident," the message read. "Pray for his family & kids at this time!"

Prior to his passing, Fatal was an early collaborator for Shakur, jumping on board such well-known 1990s tracks such as "Hit ‘Em Up" and "All Bout U."

He proceeded to release his own studio albums, including 1998’s In the Line of Fire, 2002’s Fatal and 2009’s Born Legendary.

E.D.I. Mean and Young Noble, current members of The Outlawz, shared a link online to a fundraising page in support of Fatal’s family.

"Born Bruce Edward Washington Jr. known to most as ‘Hussein Fatal’ to some he was ‘Dizza,’" the GoFundMe page states.

"A father, a uncle and a beloved brother. Bruce has been called to be with The Most High and the family is asking for support to lift some of the financial burden. Thank you in advance for your support it is well appreciated."
