In the wake of Victoria Siegel’s death, the family has been mourning the loss of their 18-year-old beloved.

But some think her mother, Jackie Siegel, has been behaving strangely.

Critics have questioned what they consider to be Jackie’s “bizarre” behavior at her daughter’s funeral, citing that taking pictures of her daughter’s casket is inappropriate.

But Jackie’s rep defended her series of photos reminding everyone that she is on an “emotional rollercoaster.”

“People deal with grief differently; Mrs. Siegel is grieving as we all are,” family spokesperson Michael Marder said Thursday.

Some questioned Jackie’s upbeat demeanor at her daughter’s funeral at Orlando’s St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.

However, the family rep wants everyone to know that Jackie is devastated. He said, “Jackie has cried … a lot."

He added that “the way Mrs Siegel is being portrayed by some in the media is just adding additional pain not only to her, but the entire family.”

Earlier this week, on ABC News, Jackie broke the silence about Victoria’s death.

Many speculated that Victoria was a victim of cyberbullying, and that bullying texts from her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend may have led Victoria’s overdose on prescription drugs.

But Jackie quickly refuted claims that her daughter took her own life:

“I don’t think she had any intention of killing herself, I think she intended to soothe the pain she was going through,” the Jackie said. “I miss her so much.”

Radar Online reported that the family’s housekeeper found Victoria unresponsive in the family’s Windermere, FL, home. Her parents were in Utah for a wedding.

Sadly, Victoria was pronounced dead at Ocoee’s Health Central Hospital.

The Siegel family rose to fame when they starred in the 2012 documentary Queen of Versailles.  The film chronicled the construction of their 90,000 sq. foot mansion.
