Caitlyn Jenner might make Olympic history … again! The Olympic Hall of Fame is willing to accept her if she wants. All she has to do is ask.

Caitlyn Jenner was honored into the Hall of Fame in 1986 after winning a legendary gold medal in the 1976 Olympic decathlon.

However, at the time, Caitlyn was actually Bruce.  So Bruce is the name attached to the award.

Patrick Sandusky, spokesperson for the US Olympic Committee, told TMZ that they are happy to update the name to Caitlyn.

Caitlyn just has to file a formal request for the name change.

If she decides to fill the request, the committee will review and change the name.  It’s as simple as that.

A representative for Caitlyn says she is not sure if Caitlyn will make the request.

There is plenty of time to decide though. There won’t be any physical changes made to the Hall of Fame until the U.S. Olympic Museum opens in 2018.

For now, it would just be a change for the books; we can tell you for sure that a petition to revoke Bruce’s gold medal is going nowhere fast, though.

Perhaps this will be among the topics covered on Caitlyn’s new reality show, which might soon make her the wealthiest reality star on TV!

That’s one for the Hall of Fame too.
