It was with sadness that we reported the death of B.B. King.

And we are saddened to report that the music legend’s daughters didn’t get to see him during his last two weeks of life.

Patty King told TMZ that she and her sister Karen Williams spoke to their father’s manager Laverne Toney Thursday morning.

Toney agreed to let them see B.B. Saturday at noon. But, sadly, Toney called Patty at 9:40 that evening to give them the heartbreaking news that their father died peacefully in his sleep.

Patty and Karen have a history of conflict with Toney.

They have accused Toney of abusing King and stealing from him.  In fact, they believed this so much that they took her to court over it.

But, last week, a judge ruled out those claims.

Patty claims her father wanted her to stay with him, and she is devastated that they were kept apart in the day before his death.

It looks like she is putting hard feelings aside to get through the difficulties of the next few weeks. She wants to work with Toney to organize plans to memorialize her father.

Patty said her father "loved so big, loved people and people loved him. He always wanted to be kind to people. He was just such a great dad. He is so loved and so missed already.”
