Have The Real Housewives of New Jersey officially become outcasts? At least as far as the NBC Upfronts are concerned, it sure looks like it.
At the annual network event, during which the media is introduced to the upcoming season’s shows on Bravo, NONE of the cast will be there.
It’s a sign some observers have interpreted as a death knell.
“Amber and Jim weren’t invited to the NBC upfronts this year,” an event source says, referring to the Marchese duo, and they were not alone.
“There are cast members from Atlanta, Beverly Hills, New York, and Orange County … [while] no one from New Jersey cast is on the list.”
The revelation may not bode well for the show, obviously.
“I think they weren’t invited because the Real Housewives of New Jersey is not going to air this summer,” the source says, stating the obvious.
The question is whether it will air again … period.
Even if Teresa Giudice gets released early, that’s not going to be until Christmas, and will likely be followed by house arrest for awhile longer.
Conflicting reports say that Bravo has made the decision to continue filming without Giudice, although producers desperately want her back.
It’s all very much up in the air at this point.
“The show will absolutely go on without Teresa,” a source tells Radar, cautioning that “no formal dates have been made for filming to begin.”
Producers are still looking for potential new cast members such as Traci Lynn Barber to fill Teresa’s shoes … but those are some big shoes.
We fear for her minions up in Danbury.
